53 Man Roster Thread

Looks like the talks about Anderson aren't 'heating up.' Personally I think it would be a smart move to try and get a decent return for him, but I don't think anything ultimately happens.

It appears that way. I BELIEVE he can't go on the 'designated to return' list unless he makes the final 53 man roster. If the move takes place officially before 4pm then i would assume it's season long. If it happens AFTER 4pm and we're just hearing the report of the plan... then he is eligible to return after 3 weeks.

Well he's on the last year of his deal... so putting him on IR tells me they see SOMETHING... or they're setting up a release with injury designation and he may just be done. I have not seen the official confirmation that he will be on season ending IR. I'm seeing stuff stating that if he goes on before final cut down then it's season ending. I'm also seeing that he would still qualify to return after 8 weeks. I have not seen confirmation of either so who really knows.
 
As badly as we need OL help, the fact Pierschbacher could never even become a reliable backup is damning. A 5th round OL pick should be able to play at least as a depth player. We are shedding a lot of Bruce Allen dead weight.

Yeah and it likely means Ismael is the backup C/G. Hopefully that's an Ismael endorsement as much as it's a Pierschbacher detriment.
 
That’s the first surprise for me. We must be working on signing a TE as BB has been predicting.

Yeah i wanted to keep Hentges, but figured he would get cut which is why he wasn't on my 53. I think we COULD still run with Rodgers / Sprinkle as no. 3 until the cuts settle out and see if someone they really like shows up.
