TV Show Discussion Thread

Watching the Outsider on HBO. They released the 1st 2 episodes at once, they were very good...I was hooked.

However, it looks like it's about to take a change I'm not sure I'm going to like...looks like it might be a Super Natural thing.

This just now hit Netflix

I am on episode 2. it is just so sad. I believe he got what he deserved for murdering people and am in no way justifying ANYTHING he did. But, he wasn't an intelligent guy at all. He seemed "simple" and like he never matured. It is just really freaking sad.

Also seems weird to say it, but he actually was a serial killer.
If you believe that he did kill the 2 guys he was acquitted of, in addition to the one he was convicted of, and then the attempted murder of Bradley, his "friend", who strangely survived.
Makes you wonder if he killed anyone else, we don't know about.

I watched all 3 episodes, but I found the production of this entire documentary lacking. I understand what they tried to to by jumping back and forth, but most times they just left me scratching my head, because the way they tied it back together was not very tactful, kinda clunky.

I watched through because I wanted to see something at the end that gave pause to think. I was left thinking alright...thinking how weak they just offered what could have been a very compelling story, but it was poorly told.

the fact that they didn't over produce it and just let the conversations and people tell the story is why I enjoyed it. I don't like over theatrics or trying to make it more than what it is. That was a huge piece of time for NFL fans and something that was well worth watching. His mother was a complete scumbag, and there were things about his upbringing I didnt even know about. I like to follow high profile cases to see things like what makes them tick, and I didnt know a lot of this stuff.

Yeah, docudramas can over do it sometimes, but I felt the story we saw could have been 2 hours, not almost 3 and a half.

well, you don't make money that way!! lol

Well, season 7 of Ray Donovan is in the books and it's still chugging along.

I think they've gone 2 seasons too long with the story, but looks like they'll do one more.

I'll watch it. I like it.

Tracking what our college aged daughter recommends:
- Binge watched The Ranch a while ago
- Binged watched Longmire a couple months ago
- Binge watched the Clancy character series (can't immediately recall the title)
- Binge watched The Sinner this weekend (NETFLIX). Definitely different. Season 2 better than Season 1.

So was Longmire worth the binge?

We are really enjoying The Outsider on HBO. I am spoiled by binging though and waiting a week for a new episode is annoying. Great to see Danny (Ben Mendelsohn) from Bloodline again. He is also the producer.

Homeland is solid as usual and the new Narcos is a treat.

I loved previous seasons of Narcos so looking forward to the latest!

we started Letterkenny the other day. I wasn't a big fan of trailer park boys, so I wasn't sure I would like this one. Now. its low brow humor, but I laughed so hard at one point I had to pause it.

Yes! I have enjoyed Outsider very much and have been spoiled with the streaming services that allow bingeing, HBO sucks! Haha!

watching a show on Hulu called Dollface. Seems on the surface like a "pro vagina/anti-man" show...but, it is NOTHING like that.

Plus, Kat Dennings is smoking hot to me.

I recommend watching it. Very funny and sarcastic.

I've been meaning to watch that just because I loved her in Two Broke Girls.

Shows I've binge watched recently that were amazing are Imposters, Workin Moms, and Prodigal Son. Imposters only ran for two seasons, but it's one of my all time favorites, it was amazing.

I started to watch the new season of Narcos. But I had to stop. Because I was prepping chili for dinner and due to all of the Spanish, couldn't follow it without eyes on close captioning at all time. If I can't cook and listen, that's a problem. True story.
