I will be glad when actual football starts.
Not so fast LL. (Hey, now there's a post-Marko Mitchell handle for you if I ever saw one )I stand corrected.

What, were he and Swanson BFF's or something?I wonder how Art feels about all this and whether this spells change for ES' relationship with the Redskins.
I don't know--but I think Swanson (in the guise of andyman or otherwise) was an important figure in the ES-Redskins relationship, and Art, as a key figure at ES, seemed to have some kind of relationship with Karl. But I don't know much--just seemed like it might be important that one of the key people from the team that supported ES with inside information is leaving. To be clear here, I'm not at all trying to stir the pot--just was a thought that popped into my head. What, were he and Swanson BFF's or something?
You guys are the reason a job like Swanson's is one I would never accept. It's kinda funny actually ... the Washington Post is a total joke, right up until they write something negative about the Redskins front office ... at which time they are the Bastion of Truth.
That story, if you read the whole thing fairly, makes only one thing clear: there is absolutely no way to draw any solid conclusions, and it appears that there was plenty of blame to go around. And to conclude that Swanson's leaving is directly related to this story? Come on fellas. We're supposed to think here.
Oh ... and on the Art, Swanson, ES connection ... yeah, it's big. Swanson is the reason the deal happened, and the reason it's remained in place long beyond the initial contract expired. What happens next is anyone's guess. Going to be interesting to watch, though I don't suspect anything very noticeable to the outside world will happen overnight. It will probably take a while, but my guess is the landscape may very well look different in a year or so.
No inside info there, just a semi-educated guess.
I have a hard time believing there's no connection at all between the cheerleader incident and Karl's leaving; it just strains credulity otherwise. And I'm smart enough to know that when someone leaves for "family reasons" there's a 99% chance he was fired.
I'm hoping the fact that this means things are really changing. If Snyder has to apologize for something, usually heads will roll...
whatever happens, we'll certainly have a front row seat for it.
He also should have been perceptive enough to know that Jim Zorn was a granola who had a 'philosophy' of football but one that had never been tested out in a 'live fire' exercise and that the Washington Redskins 2008-2009 seasons was not the appropriate place for that test to be conducted
