2013 NCAA Football Season

A few things are pretty clear:

1. FSU should be favored by 27 points over Alabama. This might be the best team ever. They sent a record 11 players to the NFL last year, and they're even better this year.

2. Jameis is a once-in-a-generation athlete. The best since Deion and Bo Jackson. He's already 10x better than EJ Manuel, and he's a freshman.

That play where he just ran 40 yards down the field for that amazing block......slowing down so one of the fastest humans on earth could pass him, will be replayed for the next 40 years.

This is just unreal.

Lol, they're good, but they're not 2001 Miami Hurricanes good.. that team was the best college football team ever, i dont think anyone will ever have a lineup as good as that team was, and the 95 Nebraska team was simply beast mode..

FSU is the only competition Bama' will have this year, but I think Bama gets the better of them.. That being said, next year, FSU will be the only reason FSU doesn't win a national title...

I don't know Derek, Bama is an all-around great football team, but FSU has the defense to stop them. Not saying they will, I don't know. If Bama was able to get the run game rolling, FSU's defense would wear down. But I do believe this could be an FSU year. We still have to beat the Gators at the end of the year...that is never a gimme.

Oh and McD5...you're exaggerating the truth again!

Im not disrespecting them, but Nick Saban isn't regarded as the best coach there is for no reason. The only time you guys will match up against Alabama is in the National Championship, which means he'll have a month to prepare. Jameis is good, but he's still a redshirt freshman. Like I said, I think next year is their year. I could be wrong, but it looks like we wont know til the big dance.

FSU could potentially lose 8 starters to the NFL on offense alone in the offseason. 4 from the o-line, the 3 top receivers, and the starting (and backup) tailback. More if O'Leary chooses to go.

This year is a better opportunity for them to run the table than next year.

I didn't think you were...

I believe we are as well rounded as Bama. That is why I think we could beat them. The only difference, they have a run game that can beat us down over the course of the game. We get a quick lead, they lose that option in the game plan, we easily make a game of it.

I still don't know that we will win it, of course, but I think we can.

If Jameis did do something wrong, then I hope they lock him up in jail and throw away the key.

Based upon two things I've observed, the team doesn't believe any of it:

1. FSU has a "no nonsense" policy. And it doesn't matter how great the player may be. This is the same team that kicked Randy Moss off the team the first time he was caught with a joint. Many schools would have put him through a class, or made him sit two games--not FSU. They don't play around.

2. The backup QB isn't even being prepared to start in case charges ever come. This seems a little foolish to me, but speaks loudly as to the team's level of confidence.

*cough* Peter Warrick *cough*

The University's policy is to immediately suspend any player charged with a felony.

I thought we were just naming off FSU quarterbacks that never amounted to **** after college.

I don't think so. (Since Warrick wasn't a qb.) I thought that Goald was referring to his off-the-field record.

Ward, btw, was a first round pick in the NBA and played 10 years there.

If Warrick had been a third string WR, he never would have been on the field to shred VT and everyone knows it.

(still bitter, sure. I was at that game rootin' hard for the Hokies)

They suspended him for two games, and ended his Heisman chances.

If Jameis makes it, this team will beat Alabama by 35. 42 if they leave their starters in.

Easily the most dominant college team I've seen in the last 30 years.

Well, the story should break by next week...the girl made it up. She originally told police she didn't know her attacker. She changed that story later and said it was the 1st time they had been together. Photos were on her FB page of the 2 of them before the incident. She was pissed because he would not leave his girlfriend for her and the bruises on her arms were from him defending himself from her when she attacked him. Turns out, her lawyer...a friend of a relative, is a Gator booster as is the writer who broke the story.

Link? That sounds fishy, to be honest.

I am just going to let things play out. You called me a liar once already within the last 24 hours. Think what you want.
