PFT: Redskins, Cowboys could go “nuclear” over cap mess

Keep in mind, the danny is a vicious and vindictive little ****er to begin with, and when people screw with him, they better be prepared for the consequences.

I don't have any direct contact with the goings on inside the park anymore, and even if my Mom still worked for the owner, I probably wouldn't say too much. But, a little birdie friend of a friend has told me that danny is indeed prepared to go nuclear with the mess. That he and Jerrah are kinda working together, with Jerrah kinda throwing out little hints and such and the danny sitting back to see if he needs to drop the bomb.

Mind you , this is the first time in 13 years I've been on the danny's side of anything, and it is sickening to be on the same side of anything with the Pukes. But it sounds like the danny is prepared to nuke. Fact of the matter is he just doesn't need any of the other owners to make his money.

And God help the small market owners that fell in with Mara next time revenue sharing comes up. They just ****ed themselves big time

Man, this is going to get ugly.

Anyone else think we might be seeing our new QB on national TV sooner rather than later? Like Sept 5th soon?

I'm just thinking here but if I'm the league and I want to lead off with a strong game, with big ratings, featuring the Super Bowl champs what better way than to bring in a division rival that beat the champs twice in preceding season? A rival with a brand new, freshly minted QB who has been fought over in the off season? And a rival where there is some recent and serious bad off season blood?

Hell, Mara might even like it, viewing it as a chance to give Dan a public spanking on the field.
SWEEEEET!

Then a day before the game, we could start an internet rumor that Haslett put a bounty on Goober Manning.

R-A-T-I-N-G-S!!! :nana:

This is the part that truly confuses me. Do these small market idiots really think Jerry and Dan are gonna just roll over and play dead next time these negotiations come up?

Yep, because I guarantee that among other things, the danny is, as we speak, having Luca Bratzi find out who made that little back room dope deal. And at the next meetings over revenue, the danny is going to hop up on his phone book in his big leather seat, sit down and grin ear to ear.

I'm not even sure the danny would be willing to reach some kind of comprimise with the NFL at this point and let them bow out gracefully. Everyone knows there's already a collusion issue hanging over the league before the new CBA came out, and I don't think he'll have any problems jumping in with another incident.

The only thing that may give the danny pause from making the league pay is if it affects his bottom line.

Otherwise, I think the NFL may rue the day they did this

Not everything "Uncle Rog'" has been up to is without merit-trying to minimize the occurrence and severity of concussions suffered by the players for example-but I still wonder if he's on some kind of power-trip or something. This cap thing might wind up biting him in the backside big-time.

Wouldn't bother me one bit either, he needs to be taken down a peg or two IMO.

And those other owners trying to facing off against The Jerruh and The Danny?

Uh-huh. "What the Hell were you thinking?" comes to mind here.

Can he override the committee in these matters? Sounds more like an owner issue than commish issue.

Something that I have had a question about from the beginning...

I couldn't understand how Jones didn't know about this before it happened or why he wouldn't try to stop it sooner. Now we know.

The more we find out the more this thing stinks.

WTF? The rbbit hole just keeps getting bigger and bigger...

Going to reveal something about my source - keeping in mind that Sarge had an inside connection for many years via a family member. My source is a family member - he is a lawyer. I can't say what he is currently doing, but my info has been limited over the last two weeks or so and that is understandable. I can say that Dan Snyder is letting GM Allen and the legal types do their thing. Mr. Snyder is laying low on purpose and they are very confident about the entire situation. That is all I have for now.

It is interesting to see that Jerry Jones had no knowledge of the decision. This one came from Mara only with the help of DeMaurice Smith and Roger Goodell (my source confirms this - but with no other details). We can talk about Mara later on or in some other thread, but this is why I asked the question about the Giants two weeks ago - just couldn't tell you then why the question was asked. However, this stuff is now in the public realm and it continues to grow out of control.

One other thing. I got the sense (when talking with the family source yesterday) that the NFL really is clueless as to what is really going on and feel that their actions are justified/warranted. Too, given the circumstances, they are going to be blindsided by some of the things that are forthcoming. In other words, the Redskins and Cowboys are going to seek a full recovery of lost cap space AND compensation of some sort. To fully abstract it, these two organizations could be going for the throat and like Bob (Neo) said, it is going to get ugly - very ugly.

If I had to guess, there will be a specific target as well. That will be where it gets very, very ugly.

I've always lived bythe old axiom, "If I hear something twice, it ain't a rumor"

Thanks for the "Twice":)

Like I said, they ****ed with the wrong owner. For once, that's a good thing

Danny Corleone: Roger, I love you, but don't ever take sides against the family again. Now, I'm gonna make you an offer you can't refuse. You put everything back to normal and then resign, and I won't have to drop this lawsuit that makes you and the NFL look like ass. We wouldn't want that, now would we?

League issued no comment and jerry's canceled a presser to discuss issue.

It is not Roger - he is not a target. And they are not seeking to oust anyone - well, ousting them from the league is not an option. Could be wrong, but this is the idea that was pitched to me.

Yeah, the danny corleone thing was just wishful thinking on my part, and probably on the part of a lot of others as well

Well...color me confused, I have no idea who the target could be other than Goodell. Smith?
