Cedric Benson was the best runner available but he has signed and didn't fit the Shanahan system, more of a power rusher.
None of these other backs have been productive recently in the NFL...
I remember he became available, but I don't remember any reports of the Redskins going after him. I kind of remember Shanahan saying they were standing pat with ST coaches? Kind of fuzzy though.
you can't compete consistently, taking the pounding in the NFL at 5'7 and 150 pounds.
