I have finished the 1st episode of Apple’s Vietnam: The War That Changed America

I never knew that it was our first war that was significantly covered by film crews. All of the footage used in the documentary is original and the producers took it to the next step by finding and featuring surviving Veterans that were in that footage. It is, so far, very compelling and very moving.

( I will admit that in 1965 I was 7-8 years old so it didn’t get on my radar at that time until it became personal. My brother was drafted in early ‘66 and was shipped out to Baltimore for induction. Ultimately he failed the physical and was returned home.)

My favorite series right now is slow horses which caused another to be recommended for me. I know it is only 6 episodes, but A Spy Among Friends is excellent. Furthermore, it is based loosely on a true story of two British spies, Nicholas Elliott and Kim Philby.

I love Slow Horses. Looks like I'll have to add A Spy Among friends now!

Slow Horses is so good. I could watch Gary Oldman all day. I’d watch ASAF but I don’t subscribe to MGM+ and I’m not adding another.

I have to admit, I watched it on a jailbroken firestick.
Looking up troypoint.com for how to do it with any device using android tech.

Slow Horses is great. Wife and I binged all 4 series in a long weekend. Gary Oldman is fantastic in it.

Apple Plus Show is called You Would Do It Too or (Tú también lo harías). The show is in Spanish. However, I would recommend the series.

Daredevil on Disney has been fun so far this season. It finally seems as dark as the original season. He was always my favorite Marvel character as he often questions himself and his motivations. He has rage issues, and he knows it. Yet, he still strives toward the good and just outcomes. The first and third episodes left my two teenage kids going "WTH just happened." Before the end of the third episode, one of them even asked if the mayor is a good guy or bad...lol

The wife and I struggle at times to find series we both enjoy. We recently started 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' - obviously not new, but we're going to watch it all from the start.

I think I might've been Larry David before Larry David was Larry David. Just sayin...

I’m watching tonight so no spoilers please. But I seen many disappointing reviews (headlines anyway) of last night’s season finale of the White Lotus. That would be a major bummer.

For anyone with kids in the 8-12 range who is comfortable with mild, good-natured & obscure adult-humor, I highly, highly recommend Brooklyn 99. Absolutely love that show.

Chris, I've heard good things fwiw. I hope you're able to enjoy it!

It was fine. I don’t know why so many were so critical. It’s not a high art show to begin with (unless one is into stories of pathological self-absorption) but it is beautifully shot and Walton Goggins never disappoints.

After 4 years, I think Miss Scarlet is finally hitting its stride. A woman detective in late 1800s London trying to keep her detective agency alive in a field dominated by men. The first season was interesting, the next 3 had more character development in the side-cast than in the main characters, and now the main characters seem to finally be getting somewhere in their lives and relationships. I'm a sucker for period dramas with detailed clothes and settings, and it finally feels like the patience that gives me is paying off.

Don't know if this is anyone's cup o tea, but I've just finished binging the first 3 series of Invincible on Amazon.

I'd hadn't watched it previously as it looked like a badly animated superhero cartoon, but a friend pushed me into watching it and I was hooked almost immediately.
Yes, it is a cheaply animated cartoon superhero show, but it's also one of the most brutal. It's definitely NOT a kids show.

Hell yeah I'm a fan!
