Classic methodWhat's the secret to properly poached eggs ?
I found this method works okay...
Add a tablespoon of vinegar to the pot of water. Bring to boil.
Swirl the water in circles with a spoon to make like a whirlpool with the boiling water & vinegar.
While it's swirling, crack the eggs into the side of the swirl, so the eggs continue in the roundabout.
Remove from heat, add the lid on top, and let it sit for 7 minutes.
I've heard about some Gadget you can buy and crack the egg into this mold with some water and put it in the microwave but I've never done that. Google Poached Eggs microwave. It says a coffee cup with water?
Edit: the vinegar is important, there's a chemical reacaion that happens but many people put too much vinegar in the poaching water and you can taste it in the egg. It should be very subtle
