TRADED: Brian Robinson to 49ers for 2026 6th

Ron Rivera is manipulating AI to try and make himself look better.
Actually, it made him look worse.

But it still fits, he's manipulating AI and has no idea what he's doing.

I do feel the more I use AI, the more comfortable I am that I won't be around for the eventual computer takeover of the world. My kids? They're on their own on that one.

49ers pretty much need RB's that are competent to take 10ish carries a game because as great as CMC can be, he is one bad pivot from being out for the season.

He was a fried bologna sandwich when we were down on our luck. A fried bologna sandwich ,with a little mustard, can be pretty good once in awhile. But everyday? About time we tried to upgrade.

These folks on line are nuts - seen so many comments should have gotten a 4th for him.
What are these folks smoking
I wish...6th is better than a ham sammich

Ok, I hadn't seen that.

It makes sense.

Still, that means SF is picking up $2m for a backup RB we were going to cut if nobody traded for him. They clearly saw value and there must have been some other team or teams sniffing around.

Peters basically paid 1.25M for a sixth round pick.

The offense left BRob behind. It's no fault of anyone, he just isn't what this offense 'needs' at the position.

Instead of just parting ways and cutting him at the end of the preseason, we got a 6th for him, and he's going to a place that the offense may very well be able to use him. It's a win on both sides. He may be very effective in his role within the SF offense, but we don't run the SF offense so the value 'here' may not be anywhere near what his value is there. It's a good / great move and I hope B-Rob goes on to have a very successful NFL career. No hard feelings or resent AT ALL

How will you feel if he starts talking trash, plays a part in beating us, and then trash talks more after?

Not saying that will happen but how would you feel then?

I don’t think it would bother me. I think it is just the competitive spirit for some. In the past though, I would hold it against them. It may depend on how nonsensical his trash talks is.

He could be very goos for the 9ers. Their game is a good fit in general for RBs and I think he still has “ability” - just as Primus Porcus said, not a fit here for what Kliff wants.

This offense on ground largely shut down later in the season and Daniels was really our only threat down the stretch.

It seemed clear that Robinson could only play and be effective when he was 100%, and unfortunately in the NFL after the opener most players have some injuries to deal with during the season and they have to show they can work through them.

That said we really haven’t seen Rodriguez in extended action. He has been in and out of the lineup as a fill in but this is the first year he will be counted on.

As to the comp you aren’t going to get a Day 1 or 2 pick for a running back who gains 700 yards as a primary ball carrier.

That ESPN piece about trading him to the Bears for a #4 and guard Ryan Bates was a total joke.

I do expect Robinson to get his share of work though as McCaffrey is 29 and coming off an injury that often robs guys of some speed and durability.

dunno about our whole fanbase, but at least on this forum, none of us are drooling morons. was reading through the 49ers forum and was seeing "herp derp. we can use Brian Robinson like Deebo" just because their raw yards from scrimmage and TD numbers are similar/comparable. in what world are their skillsets or athletic profiles even similar? lol.

Some of the comments on other social media made me question whether I live in an alternate universe watching different games than many of the FB crowd. There is a clown in one of the FB groups absolutely crucifying AP like he is the second coming of Vinny C - and not just over the BRob trade. It’s amazing.

Dumb isn't just an insult. Sometimes, it's a genetic trait.

I’ve noticed there’s a subset of dumb fans who don’t follow the rest of the league much who become attached to the idea of players. Those types of fans can’t fathom that AP came in here and dismantled the Allen, Ford, Dotson, BRob group that had initial hope attached to them and were “core players” of the future under Rivera. Usually there’s overlap with fans who think we just need to shut up and pay Terry whatever he wants, who don’t uunderstand contracts or the market or the salary cap. Usually you find these fans on Facebook and Twitter in small bubbles where they reinforce each other all day

Is it a guy who goes by Skinsfan who wrote into the Galdi podcast and I believe to be Dan Snyder?

Candidly, most fans are uneducated at the very least because all they ever hear are snippets from the idiotic national media folks and morons on sports talk radio.

Most fans don’t educate themselves the way most people who participate on this board do, listening to more media sources, and other fans with points of view.

I’m not sure I’d call them dumb, but it would say lack of information leads to at best uneducated points of view.

And then you also have dumb fans who just couldn’t find a cogent thought if it was tattooed on their forehead. My feeling though is this is the minority group. Though they are the ones who often get through on talk segments on radio because they make for “good” content. This is why I don’t listen to talk radio

I love the idea of Danny Boy on his yacht trying to badmouth the current regime with an anonymous account that is universally dismissed as stupid.

Brings a smile to my face 😁
It’s my head cannon and nobody is going to convince me otherwise.

It's really interesting that they started Chris and sat Bill.
