What's interesting is I'm not sure he's the right style of running back for the Shanahan offense. That offense tends to like RBs who have good vision, can stretch a run to the sideline and then plant a foot and get up-field in a hurry. It's very similar to his dad's stretch-zone type of running game which has won multiple superbowls. That’s a good situation for him, Shanahan’s offense is notoriously friendly to middling running backs, and their feature back is injury prone.
I wouldn't actually see BRob as a great fit in that offense, but eh, I would trust Kyle to know a RB who would fit his system more than me.
The other thing this tells me, however, is at least from a professionalism and person perspective, the team liked Robinson. Because I'm sure Peters still has good relationships with the folks in SF, and wants to keep them good, so he wouldn't lie to them and oversell BRob if it would be clear in 20 minutes that he was lying.
