The 'W' - Hot or Not?

Is the 'W' here to stay?

If Iā€™m making the decisions, with those numbers, you probably donā€™t mess with the W.

No doubtā€¦some of you are happy I am not making the decisions. :sneaky:
 
65% of us wish you were. Where we are, I am guessing a solid majority of the fanbase would vote for 'no more dramatic changes'. That means stick with the 'W' in it's current, or slightly enhanced format.
 
I'd like to see this design on the helmet that's on Quinn's shirt. I doubt Harris deviates from what's on it now though.

What it doesnā€™t have yet is nostalgia or tradition. I will argue itā€™s better looking than the Bears C and the Green Bay G all day.

I think that why it works so well. Nothing ornate or complex would ever be able to compete with the most beautiful logo in the history of sports - any attempt would feel pale and cheap in comparison. I think you have to go with clean and simple which the W is.

Iā€™m glad they are no longer censoring the logo out of vids and pics. When I went to Metallica I had a chance to drop by the ā€œBlackieā€ Wetzel tribute with the old helmet displayed on the Club Level. Very well done and I hope there is more to come when the new stadium is built.
 
Please please get rid of the "W". It's awful.

Plain helmet or number on side of helmet is a better option.
 
Ironically, the ā€œWā€ looks better off the helmet than on. Still, I like it as the helmet emblem and voted that it could use some refinement.
 
No amount of tweaking will make that W appealing. It's just bland, markedly different actually than the Huskies' . Like everything with the Snyder/Wright rebrand, it was lazy, unimaginative and amateurish.

It's no coincidence that it was the least featured aspect of those new images released by the team

The new images released by the team were emphasizing the connection to the 1980s Super Bowl years uniformsā€¦it makes sense to emphasize that over the current modern logo.
 
I don't disagree with you, my constipated friend. But I do think they're (hopefully) moving in a direction to phase out that W

I think theyā€™ll redesign the ā€œWā€ and include something that either represents D.C. or that subtly represents the Redskins. I also think they will hire me to do it, so view everything Iā€™m saying through that lens lolā€¦
 
Please don't defile the classic Superbowl era jerseys with a taco holder on the helmet. Either plain, or bring back the spear...heck, even the 1960s design with the feather going down the middle would be better.
