The TV Show suggestion thread

Bates Motel premiere wasn't bad. Going to stick with this one for a bit. I'm a fan. And this time, Norman's mom - she's a hottie :)

The Americans is a great show.

The Bible is good too...particularly with how Burnett cast Satan, LMAO. I remember looking across the room and saying "WTF, why is there a scene with Obama as the Grim Reaper???"

I saw that on yahoo too. One persons comment said "satan should be offended for the comparison". I actually laughed at that one.

I mean, obviously the actor wasn't cast as Satan b/c he's strikingly similar-looking to Obama, but some of the comments I've heard today have had me doubled-over laughing. I can't believe it's gotten so much press coverage.

Anyway, back to the topic. Anyone watch "The Following" tonight?

My wife is hooked on The Following, but losing interest rapidly. I lasted 3 episodes before the predictability drove me away. Every episode was the same thing - a dozen or so cops would get killed, and you'd find out literally everybody seems to be involved. There's zero element of surprise and they've gone way overboard with it. Kevin Bacon being the star doesn't exactly thrill me either.

Yeah, I'm with Ex on the Following. Its starting to get ridiculous how widespread his "cult" is. I'm already assuming half the FBI are in it as well...its just getting silly. I'll probably stick it out for this season, but won't watch season 2.

Anyone watch Being Human on the Syfy Channel? That's one I watch that I haven't seen mentioned.

Still a fan of The Big Bang Theory. Probably my favorite show at the moment.

Big Bang is awesome, the funniest show on tv. It amazes me every time I meet someone who has never seen it.

Yeah, I still have it on my DVR, but didn't see it last night. I agree with everyone that the show has gone downhill. I watch it more out of boredom at night nowadays. Just wondering if last night's show was able to redeem itself at all.

I watched it the first season and really liked it. Basically between getting busy with this, that and the other forgot all about it. Thanks for reminding me, gonna set the DVR tonight.

I think tonight's Bible episode is ALL Jesus stories...can't wait!

Have no idea about Vikings tho, they've all been getting better so far any way.

As we now download all of our TV viewing, Australian TV reminds me of times past. For example, Arrow won't debut until after Easter, whereas we have seen 17 episodes. Last Resort is down to it's last three episodes, but we watched it in it's entirety just after Christmas! The Following is another that starts after Easter, but we already have 9 episodes.

I'm even sending the link to the latest episodes of Pretty Little Liars to my 13yo niece. Season 2 has only just finished here, but she is up to date with episode 20 of season 3! She is the most popular amongst her group of friends because of it.

Fans are still waiting for Season 6 of Dexter to hit FTA screens, whereas we are waiting for season 8 (and the last season ever) to become available.

However, Banshee is one program that will NEVER be shown on FTA TV down here, due to it's content. Great show, and we have 10 episodes, with the latest available to us tomorrow.

So this is it for Dexter eh? Kinda figured, there were only so many more directions they could go in. Hard to believe it ran 8 years too!

On another note....hide yo kids..hide yo wife...Game of Thrones bein watched by errrbody on Monday!!!!

Hmm, Game Of Thrones? Have not watched a single episode! Don't know what all the fuss is about.

I read that the writers of Dexter were planning on ending Dexter the same way Dexter ends the lives of others! A lot of A-listers have put their hand up for a gig as well. I did read it on the interwebz, so it is probably BS!

Oh we're all gawking at the dragon chick. Starting to like that Irish wildling from the North too, the one who tricked John Snow. The other one as well, Osha who's helping Bran escape.

My name is Win4us and I'm attracted to wildling women, especially with Irish accents.

 I want her to die on the show, but Cersei!!!! A.K.A. Lena Headley!

Oh no doubt about that...ever since 300. Giggity

I was kinda pissed when they cancelled the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Stupid writer strike ruined that ****.

Vikings is a moderately entertaining show, but their insistence on making a woman a part of the raiding and battle is factually incorrect. From what I have read about the Vikings, which is limited but enough to know, women held traditional roles. They did not participate in raids nor battle.
