But Mike, this is being presented on the "History" channel. Temporary suspension of disbelief is one thing, representing an historical portrayal so very far from facts is unfortunate.

The History Channel long ago departed from 'history' - it's nothing more than a history-themed entertainment channel.

That's just crazy talk....lucifer looked like Barack and chick Vikings led most battles. Straight authenticity going on.

I just tire of seeing all these "tough" women who are like 5'3" and 115 pounds wielding a sword or any type of hand to hand combat as if the could battle against barbaric men...unless of course it's Katie. ;)

Just saw my 1st episode of Yukon Men. Holy **** this kid just caught a friggin wolverine in a little trap by his toe (s) . Those things are wicked man... I wont spoil it but damn I almost crapped myself.

Talk about a friggin lineup dilemma. Got Bible, Shameless, Vikings and Thrones all in a small time block!!!!

Gotta get creative with the DVR now dammit.

Add in Bar Rescue, the Bible, and Celebrity Apprentice and some serious decisions need to be made.

Dammit which one do I watch tonight? Probably go with GoT just because it's the premiere. The Vikings episode looks pretty badass too. Been a while since I had this many quality shows on to watch.

That's some bull**** if true. I'm hoping this is a very professional April Fools joke. Dinklage carries EVERY scene he's in and the show will lose some cred if he leaves.

On another note, my red headed Wildling was looking quite yummy in the premiere.

I have to say, I have never seen Game of Thrones before last night. I'm a fan.

On the other side of the scale, I watched one of the last Walking Deads from last season. It wasn't the new one from last night, but the previous episode.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm going to give that one one more chance. It's possible that the episode I saw was the worst ever, but it was wayyyyy too slow and boring.

Yeah you have to start GoT from the very beginning to appreciate it all.

I've watched bits and pieces of Walking Dead and seriously regret not starting from the premiere. Did the same thing with Sopranos...a show I have yet to watch in it's entirety.

LOL, that was pretty well set up then. I was hoping on April 1st joke but wasn't for sure.

So has everyone seen it so far, to discuss? Don't want to entail spoilers if there's still some waiting to watch it. Good season first imho.

Catchin up on Vikings tonight and maybe Bible, we'll see.

So...went out and bought the Roku. With the $7.99 a month Netflix account and this device, I can watch just about anything I want whenever I want. Started "Sons of Anarchy" from the beginning. Yup, that's right! I have never watched an episode until today!

I love watching TV in this mode. I bought the Apple TV instead of the Roku, but same idea. I've caught up on a lot of series doing this. Watch Lillyhammer on Netflix if you have not yet.

I love my Roku, and I just discovered it has Bluetooth capabilities, so I can connect my TV without a wire! I don't know how the performance or quality are, but I might give it a shot so I can connect two TVs with one device.

We got our Roku years ago and love it. We pay $20/mo (roughly) for cable so I can watch sports and that's it. We watch everything else on Hulu, Netflix or Amazon.

Anyone else here tried the Amazon streaming? I signed up for Amazon Prime a while back to save money on the stuff I buy from them, and found out by accident it has an extra advantage. If you have a PS3, and whatever other devices use it, you can stream all sorts of shows and movies on your tv for free. Some charge $1-$3, but something like 30,000 are free. I've been watching shows and movies pretty regularly and haven't found one that wasn't free yet, it's great.
