The Talent Arrow

My concern when it comes to moving Coleman in the event of an injury is he is already a player who has never been given time to learn a position. Has he ever played 2 seasons in a row at the same position? I know when he came out last year, one of the concerns was he hadn't played a lot of LT...and now we are talking about moving him to either RT or OG with another move if there is an injury? I don't doubt his ability to play either position. I just question the wisdom of expecting him to learn both flawlessly.
That's a legit concern. I foresee them wanting Coleman at RT and they'd like to just label him that and stick with it. The issue right now is they don't know how the draft will play out and there a number of good RT's that could be the BPA when selecting. If that occurs do they let them fight out for the position or just have hi begin to take snaps and keep accustomed to the G position they want him at LG I assume.

All we know is that Tunsil and Biadasz are set at LT and OC.

Coleman isn’t in or out at any of the other positions.

Allegretti and Wylie are better for depth than as prime starters.

I thought this was a bad year for offensive tackles?

There are a lot of good OT's but so many of them have shortcomings physically, many are short armed. There are a number good RT/OG prospects.

Jason Peters only measured 33 at his combine. He turned out to be one of the best LTs in NFL history.

Too often players are defined by one number in these run ups to the draft.

And while I know football is a game of inches, sometimes the arguments make me laugh.

X is a small receiver. He's only 6' 0". He'll be limited in what he can do.

Y is a giant. He's 6' 2". He'll win all the 50/50 balls and be a redzone menace!

You hear the same thing with arm length or hand size. Maybe that one inch really does make a huge difference (No The Office replies please) but give me someone with high production and drive who's got 33" arms over someone with 34" arms and plays like Jane everyday.

33" could've been adequate in his day but EDGE rushers have become more consistently athletic and longer as the years have gone by.

Peters played in the 2010-2023 period, it’s not like he was out there with a leather helmet 😆
