He's off the Shanahan tree. He's worked for both Kyle and McDaniels.

He might not be a complete fool. I know things didn't end well in Houston. But the eagles with the Shanahan run game would be tough to stop if they could get it organized.

Though nobody seems to want to go to the Eagles, and that's a bit interesting.
 
Eagles seem to be bottom fishing. I wonder if Siriani is getting a rep for firing his coordinators. Well, I guess they either get a HC gig or are fired. There is no inbetween.

Yeah, but it's odd. I mean, Siriani is a mad man. But the team is pretty loaded with talent and they win a lot. Which is something you'd think a lot of folks would be willing to put up with.

I get that the fans are awful, and the media is a pain, but again, at least for the next few years, there's no reason to think they wouldn't be a SB contender.

Shrug. I'm fine with it, but it makes me wonder if coaches know there is going to be something (like trading Hurts) which is immanent and they're scared off by that.
 
It could be as simple as where people put themselves on the pain vs. money spectrum.

Working for Philly would probably put you in a good position if you are an ambitious coordinator for a future HC spot. The team seems set to be a pretty consistent winner based on talent. On the other hand, working for a jerk in an unpleasant work environment really wears you down. So, the question is how much shit are you willing to put up with for a dream job that will probably be a nightmare?
 
Which means you value pleasure a bit more.

Miami > Philly at least in terms of weather (he says after finally finishing chopping through all the ice after three days of hacking his way through it.)

Everybody there seems to, for reasons I don’t really understand, hate Hurts. Brown hates him, Siriani hates him. At least from what I gather.

So maybe it’s Hurts.

Bram actually had a good idea: trade Hurts for Stroud. Hurts is a Houston guy, the Eagles all seem to hate him, and Stroud has a ton of talent and maybe needs a change of scenery.

It’s not going to happen. But maybe it should?

I read on one of my boards that the Eagles have by far the least amount of cap space they can create via restructure of any NFL team as a result of the way they have structured their contracts. Did I see that here? Any help?

No idea where you read it but it makes sense. They have a ton of high end dudes and they just had to let a few good players go last off season because of the cap.
