I agree in general sense. However, it always runs in coordination with the coaching staff. My point was more in terms of giving Defensive coordinator the autonomy of making decisions about the needs of defense roster and the prioritizing of those needs. I am sure it has already been done but we have not seen any material development on defense with new comers and their significant impact. We are still running older players run the defense and hoard those positions, where we need to get young and give them significant playing time. It always work hand-in hand with front office and defensive staff and from current roster standpoint on defense, it has not materialized into anything significant for me in these couple of years. It's either Peters not making the right picks, making the impactful roster decisions, or coaching staff no doing their job of developing and giving younger players playing time. We are still the bottom feeders on Defense the two years under this regime, so there is an obvious blame that someone needs to take instead of feeding people with usual word salad.
