The Glitch, Bug, and Feedback Thread

so...uhh. the whole bar is gone from the bottom of my page now.

IE9 PC mode.

Yeah - I am seeing the same thing with IE 10 (which btw - sucks!). Ticket submitted. BB - are you having the same issue (chatbar not visible)? Anyone else using Internet Explorer?

I use IE pretty regularly and I have the chat bar at the bottom. Everything seems to be fine with that.

Wait a second. It's gone now. I swear it was there 3 minutes ago.

Unless...

I... see... chat-bars...

...they're...everywhere...

The chat bar is gone for more than just IE. I am on Chrome and it is gone now too.

Mike, what did you do?

Yeah - I have a ticket in. Weird....

Chat bar has returned and the Dallas thread is still closed. Well done!

Ok, whoever is up at this late (early?) hour, thanks. Call it a day!

I had to get some help getting rid of the floating 'Chat Now' button on mobile, and they reinstalled some chat files but didn't 'CHMOD' them (make them readable). Glad it was something simple. Everyone should have their chat restored now.

Oh, and I still wish the "Top" button, located next to the "Quick Navigation" button, (which oddly takes you back to the top of the page you just finished with), was still a "Go" button, which took you back to the main page of whatever forum you are currently in.

Ax, the way I'm looking at it, isn't that the purpose of the 'quick navigation' tool located next to the page links to make it easy to go back to, say, the main 'sons of Washington' thread list? I never used a 'Go' button before so am having trouble visualizing what you're asking for? We can probably recreate it if you can describe it in more detail...

I'm probably not explaining it well.

Before, after finishing reading a thread, whatever forum was already in the quick navigation box, clicking the "Go" button would take you back to the main page of that forum, allowing you to then pick another thread in that forum.

Now, the "Top" button just takes you back to the beginning of the thread page you just finished with. To get back to the main page of the same forum, you click the navigation button, scroll through the menu to the desired forum, and select.

It's really a minor thing. If you're in Sons of Washington, and you want to go some particular threads, but not all, it's still easy enough, since the SoW forum is right there. but if your in the 5 O'clock, then each time you want to go to another thread in that forum, instead of the one click of the go button, it's click-scroll-click.

I know it's pretty damn pitiful that something so small is even a concern. But my God man. That's 2 seconds each time that I'll never get back!

In case anyone was wondering (or worried), the brief site outtage earlier this afternoon was not a BGO issue--the server we're on apparently had a hiccup and we were among the sites affected. Just figured you might wanna know. :)

Back online again.

Yesterday's hiccup was apparently a preview for today's technicolor yawn. According to our host, they were doing a network upgrade this morning and "operations have not returned to normal as quickly as they would have liked."

The "good news," such as it is, is that BGO itself is/was not the issue. Rest assured however that if we begin to see regular interruptions in the service we are now paying real money for, we will be looking for another host at some point soon.

That'll be fun.

Anyone else having trouble with the "Forums" button? I have to navigate around by going to the What's New button and can jump to the 5 O'clock Forum, etc from there.
