Can we get feedback on site speeds from more than one of you? :)
 
I feel like I'm flying now, moving REALLY fast. I haven't noticed a lag time in days, including my desktop and kindle.
 
John, did you guys ever do a jobs listing of all the mods? I remember talking about it before the changes were made. I've been trying to get rid of this avatar forever and don't know who to talk to about it, I have an awesome one I made that I wanna use.

Circling back around to this. I've got a request ticket in to remove the 'Chat Now' button that hovers over the middle of the screen on mobile devices. So hopefully that will disappear in the next 24 hours or so. In it's place, I've added a button to the site footer for 'Mobile Chat'. If you ever want to chat with us on gameday, or use private messaging on your portable device or phone, just login to the full site and click the 'Mobile Chat' button.
 
Oh, and I still wish the "Top" button, located next to the "Quick Navigation" button, (which oddly takes you back to the top of the page you just finished with), was still a "Go" button, which took you back to the main page of whatever forum you are currently in.

About your new avatar (which is, btw, SWEET) ... the only reason I did the supergriff instead of the supersox is my overdeveloped sense of burgundy and gold gestalt. The staff will tell you ... of the many ways I'm weird, perhaps the weirdest is how anal I am about keeping the look and feel of this place. With the change to the new look, there remain about a million tiny images and link colors and such that will be slowly but surely changing to be consistent with the color palette we (okay, I) am so zealous about guarding.

Hoping you and all who frequent this establishment will grant me your blessing to remain the self-appointed BGO Gestalt Guardian.
 
Okay - those of you using the 'Full Site' view (as opposed to viewing via Tapatalk or the mobile skin) on a tablet, phone, or other portable device should no longer see the 'Chat Now' button floating in the middle if your screen, but can still access chat rooms or one on one chat via the 'Mobile Chat' link in the footer toolbar.

I completely understand. Thanks for the switch, I was tired of looking at my Landry avatar, the bum :laugh:
 
Boone, I do not see that anymore.

However, the last two days, I have liked posts, and gotten an error message, and the "like" buttons kind of grey out. I then hit like again (while greyed out) and all is well. Then, I have no subsequent problem liking posts. Happened yesterday and the same thing happened today.

Certainly not the end of the world, very minor aggravation, but Neo said to post anything that wasn't working perfectly. Blame him.

Is this happening on the full site or on a mobile app. And what browser are you using?

The page loads are noticeably faster than when the update first occurred. I've used the following browsers to access BGO-Maxthon 3.4.5.2000, Chrome 28.0.1500.72, Firefox 22.0, Comodo Dragon 28.0.4.

Mike - can you explain what you mean by 'cut and paste'? As far as I know the only ways to upload an image in a forum thread is to upload it from your PC or link to it using the image URL and [img][/img] tags. Are you trying one of those methods and its not working?

BTW, as an update to my previous post, I updated Opera to version 12.16 in which BGO also runs noticeably faster than before as well.

I might re-install Safari and give that a whirl here just for s***s and giggles. I had it before but wasn't really impressed-it works ok but doesn't have any stand out features or performance.
