I am getting zero notifications of posts on this site now. I've missed a lot.

There is no pressure for Dan to sell so he can wait as long as he wants. It's always a risk, but he has no reason to force his choice.
 
I don't feel like that is correct, Mike. I think there is a lot of pressure on Dan to sell from the NFL side.

After multiple investigations, the NFL has got a lot of data on Snyder. I can't imagine that the league isn't using that as leverage to make sure this doesn't stall. They will want to maximize the dollar figure just to boost the value of their own franchises but they won't want this to go a day longer than necessary to get that max amount.

The team is for sale, which is new. I firmly believe the league had some influence on that.
 
I've seen people put many things up for sale and remove them when they don't get what they want or change their minds. There is an el Camino down the road here that is always getting a sign put up and taken down.

If he isn't running the show, who is? It ain't Jason, not Ron, definitely not his wife.

He's a snake. Until this team is signed sealed and delivered to another owner I always think he is going to pull back and keep it.

I took a look at your settings and didn't see anything that would explain that. Any chance they are going to your email junk folder? I assume you are talking about email notifications?

My phone gives me a bell when someone comments on a post I've commented on.
 
No idea. We did recently upgrade our php version but with notifications it could be just about anything (device, browser type, etc...). Every once in awhile, you should get a pop-up at the bottom of the screen asking if you want to enable push notifications. If you see it, make sure you say 'yes' - could've gotten turned off somehow.
 
I got that notification, too. Like I said, stupid smart phone!

It knows I want a tractor but doesn't give me my bgo updates!!
 
Jason Wright has been openly talking about life AFTER sale… it’s the most intriguing evidence that the sale is actually gonna happen. The ‘old’ Snyder would not let that fly if he hadn’t had his mind made up. It’s not a done deal, but I have a hard time seeing a path back from here. That said… it is Snyder….
 
We all want it to happen. We are all hoping it happens. Hell, most of us are talking so we can wish it in to happening.

I'll be convinced when pen hits paper.

Bro, it’s like Nixon and Watergate. It reached a point where there was just too much forward momentum for him to survive. There is only one reason Dan Snyder would ever give in and decide to sell. And it’s the same reason Nixon resigned. It became clear he could do it on his own terms or he could do it involuntarily under duress. I don’t believe there’s any doubt the NFL has communicated ‘sell or we will force you out’.

It’s happening.
 
I believe this will get done, but it is past time for Snyder to get off the toilet.

Standard operating procedure to evaluate the source of that info (the source in the article is AJ Perez / Front Office Sports): how accurate is this source? The actual date, May 22, could easily have just been guessed because everyone just says the owner meetings are the signposts where the sale should be done. So after March passed, pretty much everyone would logically now put the next meeting as the next goalpost.

So, did AJ Perez actually even have a source? I think I remember his name connected to a lot of bad info. Has he had good info? Did he ever have a scoop? I also have not been too impressed by Bryan Manning's "reporting" either.

Anyway, I do think it's likely the team is sold by May 22. I question whether AJ Perez has any real information on anything, unless he has some history of an actual scoop.
 
Overall imo Perez has been one of the better, if not the best, journalist covering the sale. He has been conservative in his reporting and he doesn’t generally report anything that he is unable to confirm. That said, I don’t believe that anyone has what I would consider ‘real’ inside sources. News pertaining to the sale has been impressively sparse and locked down.
 
Don't know how reliable the source was, but 106.7 just quoted a "guy in the know" who says that Bezos is not planning on placing a bid. Doesn't surprise me. If true, Dan played this really badly. Did he really think Bezos would make him an offer he couldn't refuse for a team that needs a new stadium and needs to rebuild the fanbase almost from the ground up? Even if Snyder didn't want to sell Bezos the team, you don't run people off.

Hopefully, this report is confirmed and Dan takes the Harris bid. I don't see a better offer on the horizon and if Dan doesn't grab the offer the next one will probably be less just like Maryland and Virginia's stadium bids kept going down instead of up.
