When first team was in we averaged 18.5 yards a carry when rushing. I figure that will continue so I am not worried about our receivers.
One other thing came to mind while listening to Galdi this morning. He was going through all the reporters who are reporting the contract terms which Terry is asking for, which is painting him in a bad light because literally everybody thinks his asking price is insane.
And I thought, well, what if that reporting is not correct. What if this is the team putting out information to make it appear as though Terry is asking for too much?
And then I thought, well, there's an easy solution to that: Terry or his agent could just come out and literally say, either directly or through a reporter, "Terry's asking price is being greatly exaggerated."
We haven't heard that. it wouldn't hurt their negotiating position to do it, and it would make the team look foolish.
But it hasn't happened.
Why?
The only thing I can assume is because the reporting on Terry's ask is accurate.
Or he doesn't care what everyone else thinks because it really doesn't matter.
Literally every piece of information that is out there is speculation/rumors. And there's so much of it that we have no clue what is and isn't true.
Yeah but it's VERY easy for rumors to spiral out of control, coming from the one initial false claim. I've read studies about how easy misinformation is to spread in today's social media world. What has been reported in more than one place is that he wants DK Metcalf money. Terry is not worth DK Metcalf money, so if that is the case then he’s out of line.
I believe that’s very likely close to the truth, otherwise, why are we still here talking about this?

I just don't take any speculation and all that crap as more than that, and I don't really base opinions of mine on those things. I know many people do and that's fine, but I don't.
We're talking about it because there's nothing else to talk about lol. I mean the last few pages are pretty much the same thing over and over. We're all just dying for something at this point.
Don't pay him, and let him play his contract out. Then franchise tag him the next year or two if he's still producing at a high level.Okay, and what’s your opinion if he is indeed asking for $33-34M/yr+ (as is being consistently reported, and not denied by his camp)
Just pretend for a minute that it’s true. What’s your thought process?

I dont see the tag being above 30. Mid 30s would be in par with the top 3 WRs in the league. I believe the tag is for the average of the top 10.- He said he thinks the franchise tag next year is going to approach mid $30's
If he truly "suffered" during our crap years, then it should sting pretty bad if we win a chip without him. YikesI agree. He thinks he can wrangle more money out of the team because of the expectations this year. He thinks we can’t do it without him. I’m almost to the point where I’m like
“ok Terry, let’s find out”
Yeah, there would be a certain irony if he waited years for us to be competitive and then priced himself off the team if we do win it.If he truly "suffered" during our crap years, then it should sting pretty bad if we win a chip without him. Yikes

Usually, where there's smoke, there's fire. There has been plenty of smoke from many people, including some who rarely speculate without some direct insider knowledge, about Terry basically getting big mad because the team doesn't want to pay a 30 year old receiver top 4 WR money.
And then also being upset about the fact that he's 30 (or will be very soon), that he'd be 31 when a new contract kicks in, and that it's a very real part of the Commanders thought process.
Then you combine that with Terry doing a press conference and making public comments which have all mostly sounded like whining, and yeah...there's probably a fire somewhere.
We should buy him a Harley and send him to Sturgis for a few days.sounds midlife crisissy
