I wouldn’t trade him. He can either play or sit. His choice.

didn't even read your post...but post-trade request, i'm on your side now.He somewhat doubled down on the same comments in a radio interview, same day as the press conference. Then now with the recent leak I posted that asking for a trade is on the table. Reporters (I gather from talking to his agent) saying Terry wants this team to value him the same as he values himself and among the elite WRs. Even with fans, reporters heard him tell them "his beef isn't with you all."
Look at all of that in contrast to Evans and Godwin actually hitting FA, taking lesser deals to come back, including Godwin turning down 30 million from NE. Both talking about how much they love being in Tampa and want to win there.
Then you got Terry saying various things about how the team doesn't value him, making fun of them considering his age a factor, dancing with asking to be traded, referencing in multiple ways he should be compensated in part for being a good solider. People can say for example Sutton saying he took less, may or may not be true -- but i loved him speaking about winning in Denver and helping them keep players and he didn't want to get in the way of that.
There is none of that from Terry. Terry is all about Terry in this context. And again, most players are, I don't blame them for it. But for Terry to say he's different. He's not that different when you factor how he approaches contracts. Evans is different. Godwin. Maybe Sutton. Josh Allen. L. David. On and on. Players who give and talk about the team in the context of their own money at stake.
Heck even Daron Payne, I liked his recent comments about how he's not worried about money, he's got all the money he'd ever need, he wants to win.
"I don't want to feel like you have to beg for someone to see your worth and value."
"People making it seem like I need to start getting fitted for a walker and a cane," McLaurin said. "My game is going to mature in a great way."
"how come it's not OK to say this may be a different case and based on what he's proven, showing no signs of deterioration."
"I guess you can say there is a point of no return. I don't think it's at that now but ... time is kind of ticking."
"you have told you to your face and then you see how it's progressing until this point, that's very disappointing. I'm just trying to get some clarity. Shoot it to me straight."
"When things were adverse when there was a lot of chaos going on, I held firm, I held strong," McLaurin said.

if terry and agent were smart they'd look past AAV and realize that dk's contract is, effectively, front loadedUnless some team offers a choice bundle of draft picks, including a first, I'd agree with this. He's under contract, and we can franchise him for the next two years if need be. I don't know who'd be willing to offer us a 1st, and then pay him $35M a year though. Probably no one.
Terry deserves a raise. He's only making $15M or so, and he's worth just about double that. But man, he and his agent are absolutely delusional if they are really seeking a Justin Jefferson type deal, when he's never come close to that level of production, and is almost 30. It feels like Terry is overplaying his hand a bit. We have a stud QB on a rookie deal, he's best WR on the team and the team needs him to win right now, so he's shooting for the moon for that monster pay day.
We love you Terry, but please come back to reality.

I wonder if Rossini’s source is GMSM. Rumor is they used to be close. (J/k)How is Washington "too late"? It's not like Terry was willing to sign for a more realistic deal earlier in the process. It seems he came into the whole thing hot and was demanding top 3 money from the get-go. The only way it seems Washington could have avoided this is if they just gave Terry whatever he wanted.
Sigh. This is so disappointing.
I doubt Peters and company would pull the trigger on any trade which isn’t a clear overpayment by the other team.
If there is a team willing to give up a first round pick + something and pay Terry $35+ million, I’ll eat my shorts.
I wonder if the trade for Deebo really got under Terry’s skin more than he let on. They are paying Deebo more this year than Terry, and maybe that irks Terry.
Yeah, maybe. Maybe it’s nothing. But all of a sudden Terry isn’t the only show in town and all of a sudden he’s being a bit of a bratI think Deebo and Terry are at right around the same amount. Terry's base + roster bonus, etc. comes out to ~$20m and Deebo's comes out to about the same.
Terry has to play for his next contract this year. Wed kind of be crazy to offer it to him beforehand wouldnt we?
WTF? I really hope this isn't true.
