That better include a "you have to play in Cleveland" tax/bonus because if good pass rushers start demanding 35m+ a year we're fucked.
 
Of those options I think I’d try to sign Mack and draft someone.

Don’t think Sweats production matches what he will cost.

I’d also try to get Fowler back but he’s probably looking to get paid off the 10 sack season (can’t blame him) and he’s not great against the run either.

I've warmed up to him because I started watching him like a draft prospect and love his get off and bend. So I can dig it.

Also now that the DE market has exploded, if they pay him 20 million or so that is paying "good" edges like they are good.

The market is exploding and won't calm a little for a week or two It will be interesting. I was looking at as though Chinn and Moehrig would bring the same contract amount.

DL improvement will help the DB's. We still need improvements at S even if we have Chinn back base on last year. Can Hampton and Owens prove themselves? Tough call.
 
Peter’s will have a plan.

In free agency it’s often wise to sit out the initial panic buying and wait for the sales to arrive …

think they can use another safety in addition to Chinn. I've been a fan of Chinn since going back to that draft. But i don't like him in split safety coverage, playing cover 2 which he did more than I expected last season. I'd want a read FS to play along side Martin in those cases.

For certain. If looking for a lower tier younger FS via free agency, they could look at Cisco, I liked him at Syracuse and some in the draft

John mentions Trade for Hendrickson first so I have to believe the order he mentions in this X post is the order he believes AP goes in. We shall see. I believe to that Hendrickson give us the best honest days work.

Currently there is a strong CB FA class. Peters could plan on filling that hole early. Especially with many of their top OL and DL targets already off the board. I am also expecting him to bring in one or two second tier players like a DT early tomorrow.
