The 2025 Free Agency Thread

I hope Winston keeps the Giants in that 6-7 win mediocre that keeps Scheon and Daboll.
Big Schoen fan over here. Big Daboll fan. Yes, Mara needs to stay the course. I like what I'm seeing over there. BIG, BIG fan.

* Winston is a classic NFL journeyman QB. I am not going to comment on his character. JD5 is a unique guy in his role model characteristics. In terms of NFL ability, Winston is a classic journeyman; he has a lot of starter skill but he also has the interception penchant.

What is this a Giants board? I don’t care about Winston‘s past, but he’s a Giant now, so screw him and the rest of them…Especially Mara. We have surpassed them, and I hope it stays that way for a long time!

All I know is that Malik Nabers is #1 overall pick in fantasy this year if Winston is the starter.

And also if your defense scoring isn't too harsh on points against, and is generous with INT points, you should just stream whoever the Giants are playing.

The most important thing tho is for Winston to play well enough to get them to 5-6 wins and keep them from being able to get a good QB.

Our ideal scenario is happening if around week 7-8 we’re seeing NYG fan twitter accounts posting things like “did Winston just need a coach like Daboll to unlock his full potential?”

Then you can chuckle and prepare for fireworks the rest of the season

Still hope we sign an edge before the draft. Price might be coming down on a few

RIP Nabers #1 overall fantasy pick, we hardly knew thee.

I see Giants are planning for Cam Ward to go #1 and probably don't like Sanders.

Me too. I'd be kicking the tires on Za'Darius Smith. If the draft falls like Kurt Benkurt thinks, and all top 6-7 edges are gone by 29, we will not be putting a true floor under our pass rush via the draft. Smith probably still good for 500 snaps and can bring decent pressure.

If I'm a Giants fan, this only gets a single 🍆 on the Penix scale.... as a Washington fan, probably a solid 🍆🍆🍆

Russell Wilson is nearing the end of a great career, but he looked good at times last year, including a 3 TD game when Pittsburgh beat us. He may not be the athlete he was in his younger days, but I would not take him lightly.

Russell Wilson won that Super Bowl 11 years ago.

Let's face it, the Giants made a mistake last year in not taking a quarterback at #6 in a deep draft for the position.

Wide receivers don't win Super Bowls.

They never had a real long term plan. It was known from the outset this would be a mediocre QB draft at best. This one would be 2022 bad if it weren’t for Ward’s emergence in a weak ACC this year

Not sure where to put this but, ...

I was looking at CFL players not under contract (since the window for signing players under contract closed in February) and I came across Brady Oliviera. Unfortunately, he is under contract, but I wanted to share his highlights.

I don't watch any CFL games, so I didn't know anything about the leading CFL rusher.

What struck me was how much he reminded me of Alfred Morris. Tell me what you think.
