The 2025 Draft Thread

Here's mine that I'll be sweating today - only marked guys we've met with at least twice or had report ties to. Really hoping an edge falls today.

Yeah I forgot about Tre Harris. I like him but he's down the list with me. Where do you recall ties to Bech, Revel, Princely?

Milum I figure isn't on the table now

Josiah Stewart or Nic Scourton at #61 and then Quincy Riley or Nohl Williams at #128, if we don't trade down.

my rankings of players for the 2nd round based on players they are tied to -- as to met with, rumors of interest, etc

Biggest offensive impact to me would be
Handerson, Kaleb, Higgins or Noel

Biggest defensive impact to me would be
Eze, Emmanwori, Amos, Revel or Jackson

Hairston, who I really wanted, was closest to the stage and greeted and congratulated every player taken. Fun video.
Yes you are right he has a freaking bubbly personality. I posted last night that it was WIll Johnson, I goofed it was Hairston.

I forgot to mention Schwesinger. I liked watching him. And he'd be the successor to Wagner albiet i don't see how he helps this season.

Purely as to 2025 season impact

Offense
Henderson, Johnson, Higgins, Noel, Burden, Mason Taylor, Kyle Williams

Defense:
Green, Will Johnson (if healthy), Eze, Scourton, JT, Landon, Amos, Stewart

I think Landon and JT are elite level run stoppers. Scourton and Oladejo are almost as good against the run.

Yep I commented on his personaity a few days ago. Fun personality, reminded me a little of Smoot

Yeah I removed Green for character reason and W Johnson due to injury issue otherwise they are at the top of my defensive list.

I should have included JTT on my defensive list

Looks like he's a run stuffer first but has some moves to get the QB. Seems more well-rounded than I initially thought.

Jack Sawyer has the intangibles plays with his hair on fire and never stops. That is the kind of player I want

Ehh I’m probably going overboard with this comp but to me he’s like Scooby Wright. Can’t play at the NFL level imo, that’s a low floor/low ceiling shot if you take him

I wonder how good our interior line could be, in terms of ceiling. LG is decent. Center I’d say very solid. I don’t know if we can count on Cosmi being Cosmi. Coleman hasn’t played there. Wylie is Wylie.

I know it’s greedy, but I’d still love an absolute animal at guard.

Been awhille since I have watched him, I just refershed myself on Bradyn Swinson by watching his highlights. That dude is an animal. After Ezeriuaku and Green, he's right up there with me with Scourton JT, Jackson.

For Oladejo, caught a game that sells me on him more which is the Iowa game. A meance in that one both as to pass rush and stopping the run. He's a lot of fun against the run -- he chases down RB sideline to sideline and is fun to watch on that front.

What happened to Josiah Stewart? LOL

I have my eyes set in one direction and one direction only:

Quinshon Judkins.

I think he is going to be the steal of the draft and, potentially, the best back in this draft not named "Jeanty". And he may rival him. He reminds me a lot of a more powerful Jahmyr Gibbs... who I also really wanted.

RE: Conerly - He reminds me of a smaller (sounds weird to say smaller, but here we are) and less aggressive version of Trent Williams.

Curious to see how Nate Herbig figures into this. Possibly just a good backup?

Eh, not greedy, but when Cosmi returns, someone’s going to be redundant. So from a resource allocation standpoint, I think other positions might make more sense… especially given our needs at DE/corner/RB

Coleman’s going to make a really good guard IMO. Maybe I shouldn’t assume that’s where he goes, but I think he fits inside better than Conerly does.

Conerly’s definitely got those fantastic feet like Williams - the dancing bear, how can such a big guy move like that thing. I think the comp to Tunsil is a really good one (funny that Tunsil is both his NFL comp and supposedly who he modeled his game after).
