I’ve found Louis Tee to be particularly good in evaluating WR’s over the years. He was way ahead on Justin Jefferson, for instance.

This was a good watch. Relevant to us, he LOVES Luther Burden, who it looks like does have a chance to fall to us. Really likes Jalen Royals as well, who could be there for us later.

Unfortunately, probably safe to assume Green’s a pipe dream - either his character checks out and he goes early, or it doesn’t and we wouldn’t draft him anyway.

Watching Dane Brugler on Take Command, he mentioned that a lot of teams are coming away less concerned about Mike Green. Exact details unknown, but sounds like a combo of maybe the allegations weren't that bad or were exaggerated, combined with him being raved about as a person by people at Marshall.

Still skeptical, but if teams are less concerned about him then he probably goes reasonably early anyway.

Yep. I watched it. He echoed what some others have said which is Green checks out with his coaches and as a dude when you poke around, Pearce not so much.

I'll watch thanks. Speaking of Royal was listenening to Jon Ledyards' podcast crapping on him, saying he basically is only catching screens and is a pure gadget player and don't count on him for making plays down the field. He crapped on a whole bunch of the receivers including crapping on Jayden Higgins.

So I ignored his Higgins hate but figured he might be on to something about Royal. So i finally watched Royal and while indeed he had a ton of screens, hitches, etc -- he was also an explosive YAC guy, who can make plays down the field. Raw but talented.

I am a bit of a draft podcast junkie and will listen to almost anything. Ledyard's podcast might be the strangest one. It's him and this British dude, unless he's Austrialian, hard me to tell because his accent isn't super thick, and its mildly interesting in that they are detailed. But they are both IMO boring personas. All of that is fine. But I think its amusing that they won't give their full rankings. You got to pay for that. Also they will only give half of their takes on podcasts for free, the rest you have to pay. I don't begruge anyone wanting to make a buck but there is so much draft content out their for free, that it would be wild to me if some paid for their takes considering IMO they lack personality.

I used to like Ledyard from the context of how much he loves Guice and he preferred him over Barkley. But lol, he's become a bit of a hater of this FO so maybe i got a little grudge against him now. He crapped on their off season moves and roster last year. He's crapping on their off season moves this year.

I think McShay kicks butt with his new podcast. Wildly entertaining. His partner is a bit boring but is fine. The NFL Stock exchange is great. Kiper is still good but was much better with McShay.

Luther Burden has elite movements skills reminiscent of Kadarius Toney who went number 20 overall in the 2021 draft. Like Toney though he is a bit raw as a route runner and he has a reputation for being immature. But he would be a good Deebo replacement after Deebo leaves because he is a guy who can get yards after catch if you scheme him looks.

I just rewatched Judkins. At this point I'ved watched him the most among these RBs. And rewatched Giddens.

Judkins -- good player, his build reminds me some of Clinton Portis, the Washington version of Portis. He was explosive as heck against inferior opponents -- Marshall. West Michigan. Otherwise, he was a solid singles hitter. His vision is inconsistent, he sometimes sees the crease and hits it fast. Other times he's Brian Robinson where he misses the crease and tries to run over guys and his success is hit and misson that front. Very solid. High floor. You can see at times his potential-athleticism. Unlike Robinson, when he turns the corner he can take it for a big run. But you don't see him do it a ton.

Giddens -- he was an early man crush for me, he's right back there with me now. I think he's right up there with Kaleb Johnson. Explosive and elusive in the open field. Sampson for example gets a lot of attention for being fast and seen by some as the poor man's Treveyon Henderson. But to me Sampson is more of a fast singles hitter with some occasional pop. This dude is just as fast as Sampson, is a better athlete and is much more explosive.

Sampson isn't the dude if you miss out on Henderson. And look I like Sampson. Feels like I beat him up some but that's pure as to context. There are some I like better than Sampson. And like I said about Sampson the other day -- he's better at getting tough yards than you'd think -- he's also worse at breaking long runs than you think. If what attracts us about Henderson is the explosive plays. Then the cousin to that is not Sampson. It is a dude like Giddens. i like him over Tuten on that front because he's more of a complete back. RJ Harvey just a little behind that albiet I think Harvey drops because of his age so Harvey might be the guy if we wait all the way to the late 4th. I'd be shocked if Giddens gets to the late 4th.

I can see Burden as a fit here lol even though his head coach flat out said he thinks he might be redundant for this roster with Deebo in the fold.

But I can see Deebo in the slot and Burden playing Z. It's sort of the same idea in a different form when I push Skattebo as a fit here with Deebo. Double down on physicality. Burden isn't physical like Deebo but he's faster.

I like Burden. I am having a hard time loving him. But I can see him being success in the league. I wish he was a bigger deep threat and ran a more diverse route tree. He has good hands but wonder about his ball tracking ability. He's great though in open field -- like Deebo he turns to a RB. I am not so sure we couldn't get the same or maybe better out of Kyle Williams later in the draft. Williams is also dynamic with YAC, accelerates fast. Better YAC number than Burden. And seems to be more of a deep ball threat.

Green for me is the best Edge after Abdul by a good margin. He's one of best prospects I've seen at the position. I'd love to get him.

I also want Green, his spin move is reminiscent of Dwight Freeney, I would be willing to take a chance with the character issues for this guy. We need a game wrecker similar to Parsons. I think this is the only blue chipper that might drop to us. Anyone else at pick 29 is probably going to be hit or miss.

Can I just say, I HATE this Travis Hunter WR/CB bullshit.

Pick a position, this is the NFL, and one of the most important things to do is keep players fresh. We talk all the time about "getting the defense off the field" and how our offense was so good because we never allowed substitutions, and here's this cheeky wanker rolling around like "oH lOoK aT mE I cAn pLaY bOTh" NO YOU CAN'T. GET YOUR DUMB ASS OFF THE FIELD AND TAKE SOME OXYGEN.

Like if you wanna prove to me you can do both, go do 1 hour straight of wind sprints. Go run a half marathon in under an hour. If you can do that, fine you can play both. Otherwise, pick a spot.

Like in the Louie video he's got Emeka #5, Tet #4, Golden #3, and Burden #2 and I'm like "Who could POSSIBLY be #1? Jack Bech!?" And no, it's freakin Travis Hunter.

Get outta here, pick one or the other.

Rich man’s Dyami Brown?

Sort of a cross between Noah and Dyami Brown perhaps with more upside. I just rewatched him. He's one of the harder projections for me. But if they dig him, I'd be sold.

Like Kyle Williams, defenses don't press Tre much so you can't see his releases where you can project that to the NFL. So like Kyle he's wide open almost all the time but its easy for him to get open. With Kyle its easy to project him being a YAC dude because he accelerates so quickly and is good with the ball in his hands and perhaps his deep ball prowess will translate to the NFL. So I overlook the releases issue. Plus you can always stick them in the slot where it doesn't matter so much.

So with Tre, his super power watching him is for a dude who isn't blazing fast he has really soft hands when it comes to catching the deep ball. I was making this case about another WR who is fast but still doesn't catch the deep ball much. Speed alone doesn't make a WR a deep ball threat. They among other things need to have the ability the track the ball ala a center fielder in baseball. It's a different set of skills than catching balls on the first-2nd level. And Tre looks to have that skill. He tracks the deep ball well. I was watching Burden today and he IMO is just OK at tracking the deep ball from what I saw. Tre on the other hand is really good at it. I wish he was faster. But he has some Kaleb Johnson in him in that he doesn't accelerate quickly but once he hits that 2nd gear, he can move well.

Simple route tree, hitches, screens, and various deep routes -- go, post, etc. Decent YAC guy, physical at the catch point.

With Jayden Higgins for example you see him high point the ball and make big plays that way at times. With Tre, the deep balls seems to often just him in stride where he's not straining. Everything just about looks effortless with him.

If I had to guess his ft here is he would be a weapon in the red-end zone in particular. Ironically another dude who in his prime can catch the deep ball somewhat effortlessly even though he doesn't have blazing speed is Michael Gallup.

Based on most mocks and draft buzz which granted could be BS almost no shot Green falls to 29. But very good chance Pearce makes it.

If they dont pick a RB until the 4th, Harvey would be my guy there assuming he falls that far. I think his age helps the fall.

Who are some space eating NTs we can get late Day 3? The Chump Bailey Have you looked at Nazir Stackhouse and Jay Toia? For the latter, Logan brought him up when be was talking Schwesinger and mentioned his strong run stopping ability and he being a reason Schwesinger didn’t have to take on a lot of blocks

It feels like Giddens is probably the best value of any back in the draft if he does end up going Day 3. He is the only one of the backs in his tier who is a legitimate 3 down back and has the home run speed. I think I heard on a pod that he didn’t start playing football until late in high school so he is a guy who will continue getting better and better.
