David Bailey Stanford Edge looks like a solid day two pick. Lots of production and elite physical numbers. Kind of smallish for a down edge guy though. Not awful in coverage.

Tyler Baron Miami Edge is another physical freak, but with the size. Get him in a pro strength and conditioning program and he could be a monster. Good against the run, too.

Jack Sawyer is kind of an unathletic Sweat. Great against the run and anchoring the edge, but with some good coaching, might be able to be the next Ryan K.

I wonder where Darien Porter gets drafted. He's not young and is new to the position, but he's 6'4" with a sub 4.4 40.

I agree that we probably need a running back, but more than that I think we need at least one more player to scare defenses. Ertz has been good at getting open, but at this stage he isn't going to challenge a defense or draw special attention. BRob is a good power back, but again, he's a singles hitter who can leg out a few doubles. We need someone other than McLauren for D's to worry about. We need some speed merchants.

It's going to take two more years of draft and FA to really get this team squared away. Hopefully GMAP hits at a high percentage because we have so many holes to fill.

I know they say it's not a rebuild but that's not true

Also development of current talent. The team is very old at the starting MLB and TE positions.

We also need to trade in our passable talent for better. We have so many make-dos instead of mainstays.

Is Aleggretti a player to build with or is he good enough for now? Same for Wylie, Lucas, etc. Is Payne a waste of cap space who only produces during contract years? I mean he's somewhere in that Dana Stubblefield, Albert Haynesworth range of disappointment. We can go up and down the roster asking this question.

This is the danger of when an overproducing squad stops producing. They probably feel worse than they are because they reset the expectations.

Whatever it takes.

We have too many weaknesses on our team

Which in a weird way is a good thing. Means we can afford to take the best players because they're all needed. I always hated a little bit knowing who we would draft or at least what position we would focus on. With Rivera, you were never surprised. The first round was always our top need position. The second round, our second biggest need.

The only surprise was in who they chose. Even when the draft slipped a player to us they never moved off their list. The guy they had pegged at twenty was the guy they were going to pick even if a top ten guy at the same position fell to them.

RR screwed us with personnel

Building a good roster takes years of good drafts, free agent selections, coaching and all around general team management and decision making.

Yes Ron and yes and his personnel "legacy" sucked but for 25 years the team drifted in the abyss lacking most/all of the above.

The team needs another good year in the free agency market and through the draft to infuse more talent across the board.

You need all the draft picks to be contributors and building blocks for the future

Build the lines first and foremost...always. Can't lose focus on that.
totally agree; keep Daniels safe- get depth on the offensive line. I think it is easier to upgrade the defensive line through free agency.

OL especially OT for sure. The offense still needs to be better weaponized for Daniels, YAC guys!
Defense needs a serious Edge and DB's.
Infuse the whole lineup with upgrades

Completely agree. Outside of QB, maybe DT, every position group on this team could use a talent infusion. Need protection and weapons for our franchise QB, and upgrades at all three levels of defense, in order to get the ball back to our franchise QB as quickly as possible.

The way Peters has made this team playoff contenders this year, from where they were at the end of last season, I have full trust in his process and acumen.

At RB, I think TreVeyon Henderson is the perfect fit for what we need. Probably top 3 in the draft in terms of each of pass catching ability, pass protection and home run speed. He is also built at a solid 215. From Richmond to boot. His Achilles heel has been injuries but he has stayed healthy this year splitting carries with Judkins. Against real competition, he has been getting about 12 touches a game. While Jahmyr Gibbs sometimes gets 19-20 touches a game, he usually gets 12-15. You can use BRob in the Montgomery role and Henderson in the Gibbs role.

Just not sure where I'd draft him. As of now, I think I may be open to taking him in the 2nd. I assume Ekeler is stepping away after his 2 concussions and I don't necessarily see any Ekelers or McKissics in the FA market
