The 2025 Draft Thread

Sanders will still go in the top 5 with his teammate Hunter.

Yeah the Kansas RB Jeanty is the real deal.

Milroe looked like the perfect Danny Dimes replacement for the NYG
Neal looks pretty good. That's the Kansas RB. Jeanty is a Boise RB.

Singleton, the PSU RB is a BRob clone. 225lbs and a sub 4.4 40.

Sampson, the Tenn RB could be a potential Ek replacement. Has some fumble issues, but not the worst pass blocker. Willing at least. Blazing speed.

I’m sure I could look this up, but how does draft ranking work for playoff teams?

It’s by the round you lose in, right? So SB teams are 32 and 31, championship losers are 29 and 30, division round losers are 25-28, and wild car losers are 19-24?

And then within that it’s based on record and the other tie breakers apply?

So if we make the playoffs (likely) the lowest we could pick is 19 where Ron drafted Davis.

If that’s true, we’re looking at our picks most likely being in the low to mid 20’s. Assuming we make the playoffs, but probably don’t get to the champion game. (Though, who knows?)

That's correct VoR. Our 3rd is the Dolphins 3ed though, so it's a better day two pick.
Yep. Peters did a good job holding onto the dolphins 3rd instead of ours.

Though they are going to win a few more game s with Tua.

They really should have signed the biggest armed backup possible because of their speed WRs. Clearly they should have gone after [REDACTED]

They should have gone after Howell. That's a decent offense for him.

I hope we didn't give up the wrong pick, our third might end up the better pick
The way that our season has turned around, you might be right.

We'll back into the playoffs most likely and they probably won't make it, so it'll still be a better pick.

Although this is a weak class, it lines up well with our biggest needs. The strongest positions are OT, WR, and CB. Lets hope a bunch of QB needy teams reach for some early and someone good can fall to the teens-ish and we can trade up to land a real blue chipper.

I want to like Milum but his arms are apparently under 33”.

If Simmons is there at our pick, it would be really hard to pass on him. I think when it is all said and done, he ends up being a top 20 pick.

Mbow is small and apparently barely has 33” arms but he is drawing some comps to Rashawn Slater

I am wondering if Burden falls to our pick. I doubt it but he is the explosive slot option we need who can fit well with a FA upgrade at X receiver

I think RB will be in play this draft for sure. I've always felt B Rob was fine, certainly not a weaskness but if you lined him up against all the starting RBs in the league he was in the bottom half. Now we have to look at his durability as well. I look for them to find a back with more explosiveness, especially with Eckler's health now in question.

Other than that I prefer not to discuss specific positions. I want them to draft the best players and find impact players regardless of position.

After Jeanty, who is a big upgrade over BRob? It’d be nice to copy the Lions and have BRob fill the Montgomery role and get a home run hitter to fill the Gibbs role

EDIT: Given the depth of this class, I think we can find a guy in the 2nd or 3rd. I think Henderson from OSU could potentially be the steal of this class with his long speed and full game
