Super Bowl XLVII Game Thread

t-, looks like Jason Whitlock agrees with you about the intent of the NFL and the officiating on Sunday.

He also has some words for all you Ray Lewis haters...paging Ax! Paging Ax!

Whitlock is such an ass...and now he's trying to be a hipster?

"Oh wait. Whatever, I loved The Wire before it was fashionable."

Shut your face, Whitlock! I will never take anything he says seriously.

Doesn't change the fact that two people are dead. And that Faye Ray, or maybe, OJ Lewis, knows exactly who did it. With a distinct possibility that he did it himself.

Oh, and when did a criminal, conveniently finding God, after their crime had been committed, become anything else, but typical.

Sanctity of life! Sanctity of Life!

Another observation: 49ers are the popular pick to go to the Superbowl again next year. I cannot wait until Griffin returns and shuts all these mediots up! So sick and tired of the Kaepernick love...its like Griffin never even existed!

That's a bad example, because the result of the holding would have been a safety anyway, so the non-calls did not matter. End result of the play was the same.

It's only a bad example if you think it's an isolated incident.

Last I checked the end result of the play has little to do with whether or not a flag should be thrown when a penalty occurs during a play.

Every single offensive lineman was holding. They were instructed to hold. It was clear as day they were holding. Not one ref threw a flag.

Even if you want to justify it by saying the outcome would not have mattered, the entire game was officiated that way. Not sure how anyone could have watched the game and not noticed that. The ending was just the most blatant example of it.

Man, you are really bent out of shape about bad officiating.

It happens all the time, in every scenario, and it influences the outcome.

And that makes it right?

Also, FWIW, Joe Flacco agreed with me this morning on Mike & Mike about the lights issue. So I guess he's being "that guy" too. :)

I'm just saying, if "the entire game was officiated that way," pick a better example. That example sucks, because the end result of the play was the same either way. Holding in the endzone = a safety, the Ravens were going to intentionally take the safety anyway. Its a bad example because they probably told the officials before the play what they were doing, so they let them play.

I don't know...Saul of Tarsus comes to mind...

And yeah Lanky, Whitlock is another one of these sports writers who thinks he's an activist. I also laughed at the Wire comment. What an ass...

If calling penalties in the NFL was supposed to work that way you'd have a point. But they don't, or at least they're not supposed to.
