Dumbasses on Fox Sports Radio must've heard the ESPN draft comment 'they turned in the wrong card' and took it literally. They just spent 5 minutes berating the Redskins for literally 'turning in the wrong card'. 'Why did they even have Cousins name on a card if they didn't mean to use it?"

I mean, seriously?

How awkward would that be if it we're true? I cant believe that it's anywhere near true but it makes for a funny thought.

By drafting Cousins, you're forcing yourself to keep 3 QB's on the active roster when you normally only keep two. That's losing a spot somewhere else because there's just no way we'll be able to stash Cousins on the Practice Squad. Just another reason I hate the move.

You make a good point, but i doubt many people would be upset if we just went ahead and cut Rex also. Yeah, Rex would be a better back-up if he had to come in for a few plays or games even(maybe even the better starter come opening day), but if a miracle did happen and he got us to the playoffs it would be just a matter of time before he blew it.

I would rather take my chances on a rookie who might develop into a player someday rather than a 32 yr old who's proven he can't cut it in this league.

This is possible. But why potentially help another team, instead of waiting 24 hours to cut him, and force that team to waste a pick?

I guess. Sounds like they released him first thing this morning. Maybe they just figured if Beck were available, some team might decide to bring him in as a #2 or #3 vs. drafting a guy late. Don't know, but yeah, I get your point about timing.

OVERVIEW
Morris is a thick running back and a bit of a tweener, not big enough to be imposing at the next level. He is a serviceable runner who at best could carry a load like BenJarvus Green-Ellis of New England, but he will have to prove he has the speed and athleticism to deserve a shot. He carries late-round or free-agent value.
ANALYSIS
STRENGTHS Morris is a natural runner between the tackles. He is deceptively agile in short areas to avoid clean hits, and plays faster when tasked with finding daylight in a short area. He has a sense of urgency in the backfield. He is capable of blocking in pass protection at the next level. (I like this)
WEAKNESSES Morris doesn't have NFL speed and will need to define himself more as a runner if he wants to make enough of an impression in a camp. He has the natural ability within the tackles to be successful, but in the NFL seams and holes are harder to come by and arm tackles difficult to avoid. Morris will need to prove himself as a thumper early.
