Trade is DONE..RG3 2 DC.. No going back now

OK, I joined Twitter and found this.

I cannot think of any possible scenario that would suggest Holmgren should be making that public, especially since it looks like they're going to have to go into next season with Colt still at the helm.

I didn't click on the link until now, but knew it was Mary Kay who wrote the story. She has been in the middle of a twitter war with Browns fans. They be mad. :)

I think they're obviously just doing service recovery with fans, didn't sound like whining to me to be honest...

I heard that Holmgren left a recorded message on the voicemail of Browns season ticket holders in response to the firestorm over losing out on the Rams draft day trade.

Heh.

Panicked Redskins Send Another Couple First-Round Picks To St. Louis Just To Make Sure

WASHINGTON—Mere days after sending the St. Louis Rams three first-round picks and a second-round selection in exchange for the second pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins took steps to ensure they would be able to sign Heisman Trophy–winning quarterback Robert Griffin III and sent the Rams another pair of first-round picks "just to be absolutely sure." "We have to take steps to protect the future of this organization," Redskins owner Daniel Snyder said Monday, adding that he would also consider throwing in tight end Chris Cooley, Washington’s best offensive player, and $1.4 million in cash if it helped to "make super sure" his team gets the pick. "And the way I see it, giving all our future draft picks away is the best long-term plan for the Redskins, especially since we don't have any money." As of press time, Rams officials said they had filed the paperwork to transfer the draft pick, but that having Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo "couldn't hurt the process."

Must of the time The Onion rocks. This time, not so much. ;)

Gotta love the Onion. :)

I will seriously be pissed if the Colts draft our guy. I just wish they were as in love with Luck as they should be, but it doesn't seem that way on the surface.

The Skins ****ed up.
We didn't have to send a #2 pick to the Rams as part of the deal.
We could have included McIntosh in the trade, since they wanted him anyway, and saved us a #2 !!!

How can you be so sure? I doubt that they value McIntosh so highly...he was just low hanging fruit at this point...so why not sign him if you're the Rams?

It's early, but ouch!

When the Seattle Seahawks signed former Green Bay Packers quarterback Matt Flynn to a three year, $26 million contract this offseason, it was widely assumed he would take the starting quarterback job from incumbent Tarvaris Jackson.

Not so fast.

According to a report from ESPN’s John Clayton, Flynn has shown “nothing special” so far in the Seahawks’ minicamp, meaning that Jackson will enter the team’s full training camp as the team’s starter.

Whew! Thank God we didn't sign him! I have no idea why the Seahawks would have been so stupid to sign a 7th round player with little to no experience to a contract that big!!!

I expect that this is just Pete Caroll's way of sending him a wake up call, he'll be the starter to start the season.
