When you find out, maybe you can tell me how the heck do I get mosquito bites on my ass, while sitting on a patio chair the whole time, and wearing 2 layers of denim (long denim jeans, with a pair of denim jean shorts under that)

I'll be in the Philippines in a week. It's going to be hot and wet. Typhoons seem to be stacking up right now too. Hopefully I survive haha.

Hey RedWolf I heard about the horrendous earthquake that just happened in Colombia.
You still in Medellin ?
Thank you for thinking of me but no I'm back in Miami but both of my girls down there felt it really badly

I have had a very relaxing summer of doing what I like to do. It's been nice but I'm ready for more. Tomorrow we head to Newport, Rhode Island with a day in Providence. Pretty excited, we've never been to RI together before. A few weeks later my fishing trip with my best friend at his lake house, my happy place.

I've been up there it's very nice. We went up there for a major APC factory tour and they took us out for all types of great food tons of great Seafood. One day we went out on three famous American Racing Yachts it was pretty cool

What do you guys do when you find a spider in your home ?
I wish I knew enough about spiders to know which ones are the beneficial spiders and which ones are the bad guys.
I want to advocate for the beneficial spiders' right to live.

All spiders are 'beneficial' if by that you mean they eat nuisance insects like flies, gnats, etc... There are a couple in North America that can hurt you if they bite you (black widow, brown recluse primarily). But that's the only negative I know of.

To your question, depends on my mood.

Yea those are the ones I mean. The ones that harm humans may be "beneficial". But I have heard stories of them actually crawling in people's bed and biting them unprovoked. Though I don't know how accurate or exaggerated those stories are.

I was hoping to find a reliable way to visually identify those by exclusive markings, etc

Well - a black widow is one of the most easy to identify spiders in the world. And a brown recluse is, well brown, about the size of a quarter, and has a violin-shaped mark on it's back right behind the head.

I have an agreement with the spiders above my shower. If they stay up there, I am not going out of my way to reach them. If they come down to the shower handle, they find out that Mr. Rogers' song about not going down the drain was only meant for humans.

I have a similar pact with them and they usually cooperate. Those grandaddy longlegs definitely like to pick the corners above the bathtub for some reason. Once all the corners are taken then one usually gets brave and decides to camp out by the faucet and gets washed down the drain.
