Nevermind, looks like that was fake too.
Some people suck!

I wonder if limited FA spending is due to Harris et. al., being cash constrained.

Great answer from Kirk
Great answer from Kirk

I'll always root for Kirk and will never understand why he got so much hate from the fans here. What was his crime exactly? He wasn't a great QB who leveraged his position to maximize his earnings. And he didn't want to play for an organization owned by a man like Dan Snyder. Oh the horror!
Meanwhile Griff literally refused to run plays, acted like a diva and cost the team a ton of draft picks to turn out a bust in part because of his attitude and refusal to learn the position.

And again I ask why Kirk got more hate when Griff behaved so much worse? This is clearly the case.Cousins was disliked because he rejected us. And people don’t think they should be rejected ever, so the reaction is anger.
Griffin isn’t liked by a good portion of the fanbase for the reasons you noted.
Not complicated, just human psychology
I think it’s entirely at their discretion how much they choose to spend. I’ve posted this elsewhere, but unlike Snyder, who had one revenue stream, Harris had multiple, including I’m sure some residual interests in private equity which is where he made his money. This offseason will give us an important data point on that
More to the point, whether the ownership group is putting a constraint on cash spending (the “cash cap” that AP directly talked about before FA last offseason to lower expectations) rather than whether they are technically cash constrained. Obviously they could spend whatever they wanted, in a literal sense.

Mitch Rales also is loaded.
between the two of them only, they have a net worth of over $15 billion. Any amount of cash they want to get, they can get in a variety of ways.
So it’s not like they don’t have access to the money. Snyder was entirely dependent on NFL revenues sharing. And the dumb fuck spent the money on his private jet and yacht rather than on the team. Which was his right but ultimately cost him in the end.
Now, how much they choose to spend? Who knows. And why they will choose to spend what they choose to spend. Again who knows.
However they have many ways to get to cash. You didn’t say this, but the idea that they are cash strapped is not true. The idea that they might want to be fiscally conservative for whatever reason might be true. We’ll see. They also might go crazy. Who knows.
I never disliked Cousins but he did look straight into the camera and lie to fans repeatedly in terms of how much he wanted to stay in Washington. I don’t begrudge him wanting to make as much $$ as possible or even wanting to be a part of a more stable and successful franchise. I just didn’t like him lying to fans about his situation.
I’ve also always felt (despite his denials in the video clip above) that he felt slighted and disrespected that he had to sit behind Griffin and that, instead of appreciating that the team drafted him even after drafting RG3 , he resented it.
All that being said, I liked having him as our QB and always wished him luck.
