It's funny how the media post-Steelers loss is now all about "pumping the brakes" on the ceiling of this team for this season when it was the media overhyping them to begin with. Also, I don't see how "who have they beat" applies any more to us than Philadelphia. I think the fanbase from what I have seen for the most part, our expectations on what this team can accomplish this season has been pretty tempered. We are excited about how much better they got after one offseason but also realize the talent level still isn't where the elite title contenders are.

Yeah the media is pretty lame on a lot of things.

It is funny though, a ref spot from probably winning a game they had been winning most of the game despite a lot of dumb mistakes and a few key missing starters. Pump the brakes, they aren't who we thought they were!

Id agree - we are lucky to have him. As good of a receiver he is, he is just as good of a person/teammate.

I will say however if I had to nitpick, he doesn't seem to have the speed that many WR1s have. While he is a great route runner and has fantastic hands and tracking abilities he is not in my opinion a speedy WR. Several times this year it seems he gets caught from behind after a catch. Again, it's nitpicking and I almost feel ashamed for any criticism of this fantastic player.

It's a production based league...I've been unable to protect my favorite players from that for decades now.

All good IMO. A touch more zip/run after the catch ability, and more hands catching vs body catching, he’s probably an All Pro. As it is, he’s an excellent receiver (and person/teammate, as you say).

It's their job to make the news they then report.

Team is ahead of schedule for a rebuild...teams like Ravens and Steelers been doing it for a while.

It's not a rebuild anymore, too good, why we traded for Lattimore.

The Eagles game this Thursday will say more about us then any of our loses. Win or lose.

I really expected Lattimore to play this week, this is disappointing. Personally I think Thursday could get ugly and I never understood why so many were counting the Eagles out just a few weeks ago.

Not sure at 30. But it will be significant if he keeps going at this rate.

I don’t think it’s going to be much more than what he has been getting. He’s only hit double digit sacks one time in his career and the falcons gave him 3 years $45 mil the year after he had 11.5 sacks. I would think with the inconsistency from year to year that he has a more modest contract than that. Maybe a slight raise from where he is now. Maybe he’ll get up to the 5 mil range.
