John Paul Flame is a notorious stat monger and pot stirer. He will throw out topics just to get reactions. His favorite target is EB, because of EBs tendancy to get emotional .

EB is the only actual Washington Commanders / Redskins fan on the show, so he ultimately gets the most emotional and loud as he's worn the brunt of the criticism for 30 years the same ways we have.

Equally amusing was the lauding of Baltimore's signing of Derrick Henry at age 30 (which I do think is a good move) but the complete ABSENCE of commentary on the loss of Patrick Queen at ILB :rolleyes:
 
There are very few analysts or whatever you want to call them that I really pay attention too and/or agree with most of what they say. One of those is the Pat McAfee show.
 
It was interesting seeing Aaron Rodgers on the McAfee show. I don't watch it often but I recorded and watched the Rodgers 'week' he was there.

This guy has an ego bigger than the Grand Canyon :LOL:

I suppose if he leads the cursed Jets to a Super Bowl title, he will run for President :rotflmao:
 
Poor Jets. They are always on the short end of things.

If Rodgers had been traded to San Francisco they probably win a Super Bowl.

He goes to the Jets and gets hurt on the FOURTH play from scrimmage in the opener.

It’s really a shame Dick Nixon is no longer in office. Because, I’m sure, like Elvis Presley, Griffin could be of some major assistance in some pressing national security matters.

RGIII has some advice for Caleb Williams to tell Chicago to pound sand and demand a deal with Washington. He said Caleb should be willing to sit out the season to get a trade if selected.

Said Bears handling of Justin Fields career to date shows they don’t know what they are doing.

Griffin is probably my least favorite sports personality right now. I cannot stand hearing his pseudo-intellectual smug bullshit. I can't believe there was a time I bought into him.
 
As Doc Walker said there are a number of cheats and con-artists that have taken this organization for a ride under Snyder.

Griffin and Young are two guys that are all about themselves at the cost of anyone and everyone else.

You can tell those organizational interviews were really penetrating with the Redskins/Commanders reps asking the tough questions at dinner to prospective draft picks.

Only thing I can really give him credit for is somehow parlaying a mediocre career (with one electric season) into one of a talking head that some people actually pay attention to. But he does 'him' well.

I wanted to see if he had a "mediocre" career; did he meet the standard for "mediocre" or is he less?

Better numbers than I thought! If I want to twist it down I can total QBRec, 26+16 = 42... and then divvy up his yards, 9271 / 42 = 221 y/g
The TD/INT is decent, the Y/A is pretty mediocre from my understanding (more context would be needed). It's very interesting, because my thought was he would look a little worse than he does here, but he's probably in the mediocre to bad range, trendingto mediocre. I thought he'd be in that same range but trending towards bad. I thought he may have a lower y/g, a lower comp. percentage, and a lower TD/INT ratio. I didn't know much about what he did in CLE/BAL other than be a backup for many years, and for us I remember more of the failures than the successes (outside of the wild year that has vivid memory).

I appreciate you taking the time to look through that. Admittedly, I was going with my gut because I hardly heard about him once he left. If you take out his first two years (7 total in the league), he's basically nothing but a journeyman backup that couldn't break in. When we ran that offense his rookie year, it was a game changer, but once people started to figure it out and he had to stay in the pocket more, it was over.
 
Washington has had a number of less than stellar players, coaches and front office people that have gone into media and had a career despite being guys that could no longer get NFL jobs.

It's amazing.

Ron Rivera
Jay Gruden

All of these guys got radio or TV gigs and continue to get paid for their opinions, lackluster as their histories may be.
