Random Commanders Thoughts

Interesting. Thompson has been with the team much longer - but apparently R. Kelley is already in tune with the offense, and gotten into a groove.
He must have really vocalized to Gruden, about his desire for more carries.
That's music to my ears.
Bet once you plug him in, the offense won't miss a beat.
When R Kelly is on the field.....I believe he can fly.

Total coincidence, or are we about to hear that Matt Jones is seriously injured or that we are about to trade him?

I saw BB mention something that I tend to agree with: Matt Jones or Mack Brown both look like prototypical Denver RBs.

What it says to me is Matt Jones probably won't be active on Sunday, and Mack is the emergency guy should Kelley or Thompson go down.

Inferring anything beyond that seems like speculation ...

Mack Brown is active for this week

On the other hand, nothing more has to be said about this dude.
... The worst time occurred four years ago, when Trent Williams suffered a deep thigh bruise on the third play of a game. It caused him to miss practice most of the rest of the season. It prevented him from being able to bend his leg more than three or four inches.
But it didn’t stop him from playing. Not much has during his career as Williams has built a reputation on playing with ailments that would sideline many.
Williams, despite being about 60 percent healthy, never missed a game as Washington won seven straight to make the playoffs.
And it’s why Williams insists he will be on the field in London when the Redskins play the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday despite a sprained left knee. The injury caused him to limp noticeably during the week; as he left Detroit’s Ford Field, Williams needed to steady himself with the wall. He said Wednesday he wasn’t “quite 80 percent, but hopefully I’ll get there.”

Remember all of the brouhaha when he got suspended for tokin' some :)

I see it more as Matt showed up Tuesday, and coach informed him he's injured.... Much better then benching him from a media standpoint. It's not like we need any drama added to the equation. From Grudens comments in the press, and his obvious frustrations with Matt, I'm not sure it hasn't gone down as I stated.

I'd say you're probably spot on there Pete. If that is the way things went down I'm completely fine with it. Gotta show accountability even if it's in private.

Josh Norman comes to Washington, immediately turns into Carlos Rogers.
