No penalty, and the announcers didn't even mention it.

Right in front of the ref too, announcers didn't even comment on it. That should've been an immediate ejection. NFL is not concerned about concussions. A total joke.

On third and 9 Dalton runs for 11 yards when no one is open.

Where is that off-schedule play by Cousins?

He definitely doesn't get outside the pocket to pressure the defense enough.

One thing I forgot to factor in when I wrote my blog was the ref's, and how they would do anything and everything to try to screw us. 4 facemask penalties on Josh Norman alone is a sure sign that the refs have been told by Goodall to ensure the Bengals win.

We'll lose this OT battle, and be 4-4 with the bye coming next.

With a second and 7 at the Bengals 43, the Redskins could have used Chris Thompson or Vernon Davis to get 4-5 yards and keep the drive moving along.

Instead McVay decided to have Cousins drop back and look for a bigger play down the field when that wasn't really necessary.

The Bengals were blitzing the corner to the outside and he was picked up, which means that someone should have been open over the middle in the short-intermediate zone for a quick catch and sit down.

New England regularly uses Gronk and Bennett on the field at the same time and throws to them in key situations.

We have two pass receiving tight ends but give defenses a break by only having one out there at a time, or only sending one out in a pass pattern, keeping the other in to block.

Send both on short routes and flood the defense and allow Reed and Davis to get yards after the catch.

If Belichick had these offensive weapons we would be doing a LOT more with them.

We are leaving a lot of points on the field at the end of games, not only through execution shortcomings but also through play-calling that limits the talent.

We do run on third and one, but we simply run the ball up the middle behind the weakest point of our line.

if it was me, I would spread things out with 3 wide receivers and pitch the ball wide to Chris Thompson.

These guys can't seem to get out of their own way to win a game.

This one was gift-wrapped by the Bengals for us and we didn't take advantage.

That's two weeks in a row Washington should have posted wins and is now 0-1-1.

There's a BIG difference between 4-3-1 and 6-2.

We are going to find that out once the schedule gets tougher with the Cardinals and other contenders upcoming in the second half of the season.

You put up 15 penalties against Arizona and you lose 35-10.

It wasn't a penalty, but my point is the game should already have been won by then.

Scherff's stupid holding penalty on a first down run in OT at the Bengals 21 did a better job of icing Hopkins than the timeout.

You hold to protect your qb that's OK. But on a running play? So, you get beat and the back loses 1-2 yards................

It ain't the end of the world.

But a 10 yard penalty? That's a good as a defensive sack.

Good teams don't make these kinds of bone-headed plays.

But the NFL is scratching their heads wondering why the ratings are down.

I don't even want to listen to the other games after that garbage.

The run defence did the job, but we couldn't stop the ball in the air with both Green and Eifert going for over 100 yards.

Hopkins will be on tenterhooks until the next game, missing the FG that would have won the game. He is starting to miss at least once every game.

It's the 15 penalties that really helped lose this game, though.

Veterans need to tell Scherff you can't take a holding call in OT with the game all but wrapped up deep in opposing territory.

As far as the secondary goes, we know that Josh Norman was in the concussion protocol and is also nursing a hand injury that may need surgery when the season is over. Breeland left the game after playing through an ankle sprain.

So, I am not going to bash the corners too badly.

Green and Eifert are pro bowlers in their own right.

If we had executed in other areas, those yardage totals would not have meant much.

I'd love to hear That shit stain Mike Pereira's explanation on a few of these calls. Shoulda won this one and I think we just extended Marvin Lewis's tenure despite a losing season. Better get a Christmas card from them too!

I am not going to excuse Hopkins, he should have won the game at the end. A pro kicker should be able to make 2 consecutive 35 yard field goals.

But the cumulative amount of mistakes we made today which seem to have come forward from last week at Detroit where we had numerous penalties, turnovers and lack of timely executiion - it's becoming a habit.

This team doesn't seem to be getting better as the season goes on.

We hit a plateau against the Eagles and have been on a downward execution spiral ever since.

Kirk had 418 yards passing today, but did anyone ever get the feeling he was going to hit that 35 yard TD pass to win the game in the late fourth quarter or overtime?

Quite frankly, I didn't.

One would think the confidence would be there given his paper stats, but I just didn't feel it.

Remember last week when Redskins defenders were down after the late loss but credited Matt Stafford for making some unbelievable throws? That he was an elite player who could beat good coverage?

That's not Cousins unfortunately.
