Yeah, I think Wednesday. I was just pontificating their actual motives...if a move to cut/trade him were indeed in the works.

Report I saw was a thigh injury that did not keep him from finishing practice. Bringing Bates up was precautionary, but I don't know what that would mean for Jeffcoat. Is there an injury status that would keep him from the 53 man roster and safe from another team being able to pick him up?

If Bates takes his spot on the roster, doesn't that leave him open to being picked off waivers? I would absolutely hate to see Jeffcoat lost on waivers.

IR designated for return but if he finished practice then I cant imagine it's bad enough to keep him out 8 weeks, or that he's worthy of that designation... interesting question about who's spot Bates is going to take. I do believe if he's waived and put on the PS, he'd then be open to get picked up until he cleared waivers.

Or...the....realists....will....be....real. I don't see any reason he'd want to hang around. If I were him, I'd request it. This team has been a disaster for him. No denying that. I see no way he makes it back on the field as a Washington Redskin, thus I see no reason to keep him. Whatever happens, I suspect he and the team have discussed it and come to an agreement on how best to part ways. But you continue to troll post if it makes you feel better.

I'm not the guy reveling in the demise of the best qb, and best qb performance we've had in two decades.

Yes. Troll post. Your comment contributed nothing substantive to the conversation. Don't presume to know how I feel. I've never stated in any post I was happy about how this turned out. I haven't seen one person in any thread on any site state they were happy for that matter. We all thought we finally had our guy. A top tier, franchise QB to lead us to greatness for many years to come. 2012 was glorious up to the point Shanahan screwed the organization by not pulling him from the game. This is a lose/lose situation for all involved. But, at this point, it is what it is. It doesn't matter who/what/when/where/why. He has not progressed here. He's due a 16 mil. payday if he stays, and since 2012 has done nothing to demonstrate he's capable of rebounding and learning all the QB skills he never had to hone because he was always a man among boys. We can't pay him that. He isn't going to renegotiate. He needs to go ASAP. This team needs to move on and remove any extraneous distractions. I get the attachment, but there's no way forward with him here. No. I'm not reveling in his demise, and I'm damn sure a Redskins fan. A Redskins fan first and foremost. Players come and go. I have no problem facing the facts.

stevenaa - don't let tr1 bring down the level of your conversation. That's what he does (for the time being but maybe for not for much longer). As Mark said - no one takes any pleasure in RG3's failure and shame on anyone who suggests it.
