Random Commanders Thoughts

NYPD, I thought he was actually very good and he was so whiny back in the First Blood days that he actually pulled that one off too. The rest is just comedic fodder.

Every fan base has had some loser dickheads. As have all message boards. This one included.

Not nearly enough to label the whole lot of us as "worst", or "most embarrassing" fans.

I get it now.

Rooting against Cousins = Worst fan base in the league.

Rooting against Griffin = best fan on the Internet.

Im glad that mystery is solved.

I've yet to see any fan on any message board or on twitter "root" against RG3.

This fan article is beyond embarrassing. It's disrespectful to the entire team.

"Hey Callahan, thanks for coming to help our O-line. I'm pulling for you to go 0-16. Hey Fewell, thanks man. Now I'm pulling for you to get creamed."

It's obviously disrespectful to Kirk. It's disrespectful to whatever Scot is trying to build. Kerrigan, Desean, Trent....to every single player. "Hey Scherff, welcome to DC. I'm a huge fan. Hoping you guys lose every game."

I understand losing now to win later....after the team is out of playoff contention. This is just pathetic. I've never seen anything like this before with any team.

Really?

Suck for Luck doesn't ring a bell? People getting shirts made before the season even started.

You obviously aren't even trying to be fair about it when you say you have "never" seen anything like this. It happens all the time.

Morons. Just highlights that many fans would rather be proved right than see the team win.

“I would be rooting for a Kirk Cousins pick-six from the 5-yard line,” said Justin Wilder, 27, of Northern Virginia. “There would be so much vindication from that.”

I'm aghast!

You mean that there are people on twitter and other forms of social media (including the comment sections of any online site) that spout off craziness 24-7?

I just can't believe that.

Some people take this way too seriously..... it's a game we watch 4 months out of the year. Rooting for a loss is kind of a warped way to get an end result, but if a person is in the camp that Gruden is not the answer, and passionate about it, the less we win, the better the chance he's removed....

I don't think Gruden is the answer..... I'll never root for my team to lose, but that's just me.

So what? Fair to who? Do you disagree with his primary point - that a real fan doesn't root for his team to lose?

I'll echo McD5. If you're a fan that's rooting for something bad to happen or the team to lose so you can be 'right' - you're a jackass.

That's not what he said in the least bit. He said that he's never seen that before and it just happened in 2012. We all remember it and we all saw it happen.

I am sure you're not going to agree with us being the worst fan base or all that bs either. Because that's what he called us.

I believe this is what McD5 believes. Like all of us should.

I think it's pretty obvious that when he says "Worst fan base in the country? Or just the most embarrassing?" that he's talking about the idiots quoted in that article, not fans like you and I.

Honestly - I don't know why you're making an issue out of it. You've said the same damn thing for pretty much the 6 year history of the site. Be a fan. Root for the team. No matter what.

Most fans are like you and I and calling us ad a whole or a general statement like that DOES mean people you like and know. If it's a select few, cool. But "fan base" means all of us.

That's why I make an issue of it. When I have a problem with you, I say your name. When I say "some guys" that leaves it open to interpretation and can be taken in any way you want.

My reaction would be a little different. If you think our fanbase is the only one that is currently or has gone through this you need to get out more. I'm done even going near judging the state of mind or actions of other Redskins fans (violence and meatheaded behavior goes without saying), I've joined the dark side of pessimism and have a lot more sympathy for fans so depressed by their seemingly never ending plight that they are resorting to irrational means to cope. Besides WTH is a "REAL fan" anyway? Different strokes for different folks, yea it's a little embarrassing, but it doesn't reflect on any of us or our fan base, it reflects upon the Washington Redskins.
