Random Commanders Thoughts

Sad that even when I'm expecting to lose, they manage to keep me interested just enough to piss me off when they start to collapse (as usual) & let the game get away from them (again, as usual) that I turn the game off...in week 1. Frankly, I'm sick & tired of this nonsense. Jay Gruden is a joke. He is NOTHING like his brother. This whole franchise is a joke from the goofball owner all the way down to our stadium staff. As far as I'm concerned, they can change the name because these people don't deserve to don the name "Redskins". And to top that off, I heard the "Let's go dolphins" louder than the "Let's go redskins" in our own stadium. What a freakin embarrassment. Even more embarrassing is that I've allowed this joke of a franchise to ruin my day. I'm out! I already can see my Sundays freeing up as another 3-13 season (or worse) gets underway! Hurray for me. :furious2: :tantrum: :twitch:

Would've been nice to analyze with djax in the game for an play but Kirk has major yips when he plays from behind, his eyes show no confidence. I'd rather watch poor man Chad Pennington McCoy right now,than kirk folding like origami no bueno for me. As far as Robert, just cut him, enough is enough already but Gruden your play calls were shit I ran in high school you gotta go....end rant.
 
Someone mentioned Jones trucking Suh...wouldn't say he "trucked" him, but he put Suh on the ground.

Desean is the new Jordan reed. He needs to do something here and earn his paycheck
 
I also was not that impressed with kirk. He made some damn good throws but he also threw up a lot of back footed throws that didn't hit and also threw 2 picks.

He's not taking the sacks but he's also turning the ball over. It's not much of an improvement.
 
Kirk played very well in the first half (minus the INT - which was a bad pass but a worse playcall). He was put in a lot of bad situations between holding calls, WRs running the wrong route, dropped passes, pulled hammy's on the deep ball, 2nd and 3rd and forevers...a play here or there and it could've been a lot better day. We are not a good enough team, no matter who is under center, to overcome missed FGs, a ton of penalties, a kick returned for a TD, dropped passes, etc...

I'm not making excuses. But I thought he played pretty well overall. He certainly didn't wilt under the pressure. I thought the playcalling was erratic at times. Almo had 127 yards and we could've run it a lot more than we did.
 
He threw it off his back foot too much and got our receivers in to jump ball positions where they weren't ready for it.
 
He completed 68% of his passes today. That's solid. He could've done a lot better - no doubt. But he's not the reason we lost today imho. ST mistakes (again), giving up the mid to long range passes in the 2nd half, and penalties cost us the game.

The 4th down incompletion....frozen in the pocket and threw off his back foot to the wrong side of the guy. He had a big hand in it because his 2 picks were those kinds of passes.
 
Reed blew that route, not Kirk. Against a Cover Zero Defense, he has to go across the face of the DB to give his QB a quick target. Reed went upfield instead. Kirk threw it where that look dictates the receiver is supposed to be.
 
Huh? He threw it way behind him before he even turned around. He froze in the pocket and threw a bad pass off his back foot. Every single person in chat said the exact same thing.
 
There were a lot of 'great pass!' comments during the 21 completions (and it should've been more) he threw too. Let's talk about those too.

I talk about every point. I'm always a positive fan and always pointing out the good stuff when it's there. I saw something bad and wanted to point it out. Don't see the problem with that...everyone else gets to doom and gloom.
