Random Commanders Thoughts

On what Cousins saw on the fourth-and-7 play at the line of scrimmage:
“I think he did a great job, Kirk. You know, it’s Cover 0 and they had one more rushing the block and that is cover zero. And [TE] Jordan [Reed] has to cross face on that safety and the safety dropped inside him, Jordan took it up top and Kirk had to get rid of it and that’s something that as a receiver we can’t do. You know, he was supposed to cross face and we will get that coached up. It was a great play by their defense, great play by their safety. That’s the only choice Kirk had. We had another one, Andre over there on the other side, but that was our rule. Cross face, Cover 0, it just didn’t work out. Great play by them.”

Well, john is wrong then :)

I talk about every point. I'm always a positive fan and always pointing out the good stuff when it's there. I saw something bad and wanted to point it out. Don't see the problem with that...everyone else gets to doom and gloom.

I didn't concede the point, I just decided not to argue with a brick wall. You're not all that positive btw :)

And I'm not arguing Cousins played a terrific game, just that he played pretty well overall. Look at where we broke down - twice the penalties of the other team, dropped two certain INTs (one of which would've been a pick six), missed a gimme FG, gave up a kick return for a TD. And we still had a chance to win it all the way to the wire. Those are the things that need fixing the most.

Of course gruden defends him...

Are we going to use him as the litmus of what happened?

Cousins froze. He threw it off his back foot. He made zero movement in the pocket on that play to help anyone out and just threw it behind him. I get that he doesn't get sacks....but he's also not helping himself with throwing picks

Kirk certainly has a lot to learn on the field, but you could tell his team mates were with him the whole way., There seemed to be no doubt who the leader on that field was all day...even after the first INT, when he drove it down the field for the TD on the next drive.

He definitely threw it off his back foot as he did with other throws. But he might have thrown it in the right area. Even the commentators said something to the effect Cousins and Reed weren't on the same page.

Yeah. I mean, what would the Head Coach know about that play? We were, like watching it on TV.

Well, he doesn't call the plays right?

He sure didn't make the adjustments or ANY kind of change to help our cause.

Suh kicked morris in the head?

When did that happen? I know his dirty ass finger poked moses...but I must've missed that one.

First half I believe. I saw Morris come up without his helmet and said something to Suh. He wasn't happy.

Wow, I flat out missed that. F that guy....for real.

Thank you for telling me

Someone mentioned Jones trucking Suh...wouldn't say he "trucked" him, but he put Suh on the ground.
Like I said, missed the play, just relaying what was said.... still looks good to me tho :joyous:
Nice captures or shots btw

If the 2nd defender had not been there to stop Jones, Suh would have looked stupid as Jones kept going while he was on the ground.

I would love to know what play Morris' helmet was off. I am sure I might have it on film.

They just showed it on the recap. Suh got up and then kicked Almo's helmet off. Was intentional.

Landon Collins on the Giants wears 21 in honor of sean.

Change of direction gets Amerson to fall again. He looks like a Mel Blount when he goes up for a ball, but breaks his own knees any time he has to stop on a dime and reverse direction. He has to get better at this or he wont be able to cover quick cutting receivers.

Ideally, he's the 4th QB, so he should not be this exposed. However, with Breeland out for dope and Hall getting his yearly injury, he has to be out there. It would be nice to have him out there as the 4th CB so that he's covering the 4th best guy.

Just saw the punt return for td on NFLN. The redskin gunner on the Miami side was getting raped on the play. Of course we won't get a call but damn both guys held him bad.
