Not to be argumentative Al, but what you're saying is a good GM can control a guy running down the field on the opening kick off of the first game of the season, and blowing out an MCL without any contact ? Maybe a player getting shot in his home ? Maybe what looks to be a stud of a player, that's rated top 5 in the draft, and winds up injury prone to the point he misses more time then plays and a financial burden on the team? Call it what you want, but these are things that are completely out of anybodies control. Things that can have an adverse effect on individual units, or the entire team no matter how well the GM builds the team. That's exactly the point of the farming analogy, which you addressed with your second line, and I still think you missed the point of the analogy.
