He was shown the exit previously for similar behavior under a different username. He has some identifying posting characteristics that we didn’t immediately connect. He is going through many very difficult health issues. That is not an excuse for his behavior but I truly hope that he finds some peace in this world.

Long time ESers may remember my complaining about our team NEVER embracing nor even really trying it, over the past 25 years when it became all the rage. Sorry about those annual rants, but they are finally gone and I feel vindicated seeing that when we finally actually used it, we made our longest playoff run in 34 years.

So, the greatest thing happened...

Made a couple runs to the new apartment with the small kitchen stuff, etc today. I made a friend.
A lady was walking her dogs, I petted them, we chatted for a few minutes.
Then she says, "I notice you're wearing a Washington Capitals hat, I'm from DC." And it just took off from there. She's about my age, been a fan since childhood, had the C-word lanyard for her keys, cell phone cover...I showed her my screensaver of ST21. She knows the team like I do...hated Snyder, loves the fact that we have a TEAM now that plays like a TEAM. She kept up with the Deebo and Tunsil gets. She's as happy as I am for next season, we almost went into a frenzy right there on the sidewalk.

She's in the breezeway next to me.

Watch parties are the plan.

I have great sadness in my life. I have, since 2005, had a Redskins license plate with a skins helmet and which read IMVOR.

Literally nobody got it, so it was a great conversation piece.

However, it has started coming apart. And after coaxing it along for a while, I had no choice to replace it. Couldn’t read it any more. The helmet had come off, so there was no point.

So my Redskins license plate is no more. And they don’t have a Commanders one.

So I went with my Alma Matter.

It is still IMVOR though.

I told her the first thing I do when I wake up is hit "my message board" for all the news and discussion...didn't mean to claim ownership or such, but wanted her to know that there are folks who do nothing but TEAM. We'll get there, I have no doubt. She blew my mind. First person I met in the community, and she's ON MY TEAM. I just couldn't be happier!
