Random Commanders Thoughts

McNichols is 29 and Ekeler will be 30.

We don’t have a 1B or #2 receiver.

Our tight end is 34.

We need youth, size and speed.

Enough of the smurfs at WR.

Robinson is the least of our problems.

I have a feeling that Kingsbury looks at BRob and thinks to himself that he only has a back good enough to keep the pass rush honest, but doesn't have a back to win games with. BRob is a 3 yards and a pound of dust kind of back and in the latter half of the season he wasn't even that.

I was glad though that BRob got some of his mojo back in the two playoff games. I still think we need to look at upgrading our featured back, but I still root for the kid.
B Rob destroyed the Titans defense when the Titans were top 5 D.

Let’s not turn the ball over 4 times and then once we’ve done that we can quibble about taking a field goal vs going for it a 3rd time on that drive…
Do you think that perhaps the field goal vs going for it a 3rd time conceded the warrior mentality to the Eagles?

No. I think if you asked the players involved they would likely say ‘WTF are you talking about?’
You believe Saquon takes it to the house on the next play if we take 10 minutes off the clock and end in TD?

Even when we were going for it on 4th, the drive was nickel and diming. The Eagles D was not conceding any easy yards - they had to be earned. It’s hard to play error free football at a few yards a clip all the way to the end zone.

I realize they’ve done it this year. But against the best defense in football on the road in the NFCC, I don’t think kicking a FG is taking the wind out of our sails or providing any legitimate boost to the opposition.

I think we gave up the 60 yarder to Saquon because Jalen thought the play looked good to him, and we couldn’t tackle for crap.

File this under the Law of Unintended Consequences - I'm ready for Free Agency to start immediately, hold the draft next week, and open training camp on Valentine's Day.

While I don't think Robinson is a problem is there any question this team would be much more dangerous with a dynamic RB who can rip off a 50 yarder? A running back defenses have to account for and therefore opens up other offensive opportunities?

Of course we have other needs, and with KK's aversion to the running game I don't see them using a high pick. But Barkley, Gibbss and Pacheco showed how valuable a RB with speed can be in the playoffs.

It would have been wild though to see Jayen in a flag football game. He'd make everyone look silly.

They played a 20 game season, which not so long ago was the equivalent of a Superbowl season. They need the rest. And yeah do not risk some freak injury.
More, if you count the preseason

If I was Philly I'd welcome us running BRob between the tackles.

Did we even have 1 designed run for Jayden?

Odd play calling if not. Sure they key'd on him but guess what. Most teams probably did this year. They keyed on Robinson as well. I'd call 4 flies vs man and tell him to run it. We went with little body blows; while we did some damage we were never really a threat to win with no turnovers for and especially since our defense could not stop Philly.

Folks want the OL upgraded as a priority. Not me. I liked our OL. My fantasy go to guy was raving about our OL all season. He's noyoutubenoob. You liked our OL too at least until BRobs injuries? / fumbles shattered his confidence and Quinn stuck to BRob up the gut as a priority.

There were a few #1 backs on the move in the offseason and we went with a hands back upgrade instead. You know who we could have had but paranoia over older backs is all the rage. Turns out they all had tread.
