Predict Our Record This Season

I'm going with 9-7, but will expect 6-10. Anything below that, and there'd better be some good individual performances to counter it. I think it would also indicate problems in the coordinators positions.

5-11. But, I think we will be encouraged by the end of the year, as the youth movement starts to take shape.

I am right on track. :D

Or not. I would like to revise my bull**** prediction to 8 wins. At least. I think there is a very good chance we go 3-2 over the next five, which would put us at 6-3. Which is crazy.

I think we CAN, but I don't think we will. I don't think we are at the point yet where we don't need a little luck, and staying lucky for 6 straight is tough.

Actually, I'm going to change my prediction to 4-12.

I see us beating Arizona, splitting with Dallas, and beating the 49ers. However, they could easily take Carolina, Buffalo or Seattle, so I think they'll win at least one of those games.

Thankfully, I've been wrong. Its no fun to watch the team lose, so 3-1 is much better than the 1-3 start I envisioned heading into the bye.

After sitting through those years with Jason Campbell where the offense averaged fewer than 20 points per game, I'm going to say this offense will score. Well, at least more on average than those teams did.

Last year with Rex at the helm the Redskins scored 30, 20 and 17, not that great, but an average of 22 ppg (better than the Jason Campbell era). If they improve even marginally, the extra points should help to win games if the defense improves as well (and really, how can the defense get worse?).

Hmmm...so far this season the Redskins have scored 28, 22, 16 and 17 for an average of 20.75 about where they were before. And that's including the Kerrigan TD. That means the offense is only averaging 19 ppg. The defense is improved and has helped them win these low scoring games, but the offense will need to improve if they want to maintain their winning ways.

based on what I have seen so far (both us and the opposition) I'm bumping up to 10-6! we have the talent to compete in just about every game.

Oh. My. God.

I'm going to lie down for a little while-I feel dizzy all of a sudden.

Fansince, don't do this kind of thing to me, man, my constitution isn't up to it.:thud:

expectations brotha Serv...expectations. when I was leading large roups of young sailors in the Navy...the mindset was to set the bar high...organize and maximize for success....not look for rationalizations why the unit will be better in a year or two. this team has the raw material to compete. a combination of teamwork, crafty coaching, espirit de corps, talent, scheme, youth is on hand. I see no reason why this team can't exceed expectations.

You kind of surprised me with the projection, basically caught me off-guard so I thought I'd have a little fun with it. :)

Noted for future reference. ;)

notice I didn't mention QB play!!!! :)

but..yea....to me it looks like there are no real dominant teams so far..except for..perhaps...the Peckers. from that perspective....anyone can compete except for the terminally bad.....and we don't fit that descriptor! folks are not paying attention to what I have been arguiing. I haven't been in the "we got lucky" crowd. my wank has been that we haven't used the talent on hand to take advantage of the giftwrapped mistakes other teams are making. I have two perspectives on this:

- I believe we have the talent to take advantage of these mistakes

- if we don't...sooner or later it'll catch up to us

O.K., the second paragraph, particularly the section in bold, mirrors impressions I have so far.

We are averaging 20.75 points a game, although the last 2 games we only scored 16 and 17 points. If we continue down this dismisal path of scoring points, the prospect of winning many more games is slim. I do not have the stats for the red zone effectiveness, but after the 1st three games we were 3 of 10 in the red zone. Scoring just 16-18 points a game is not going to win many games. Until I see better performance, we will probably end up somewhere around 6-11. I hope I am wrong.

I know I'm late, but I did this on another forum and this was my prediction and I'll stick to it:

vs Giants W
vs Cardinals W
@ Cowboys L
@ Rams L
Bye
vs Eagles W
@ Carolina L
@ Buffalo L
vs 49ers W
@ Miami W
vs Cowboys W
@ Seattle W
vs Jets W
vs NE L
@ Giants L
vs Vikings W
@ Eagles L

9-7

I'm willing to bump my prediction up to 6-8 wins.

I'm happy to be wrong so far, and hopefully I continue to prove overly pessimistic. :)

Insane,

youre telling me you predicted we would lose to Buffalo and Carolina before the season even started?

I predicted Buffalo would be a probable loss also. Their offense was putting up pretty good numbers last season, and our defense wasn't stopping anyone. In my opinion, it was actually more reasonable to predict a loss to Buffalo before the season started than it is now, as we didn't know how our D would look. Now we have a chance of slowing them down.

5-11

Absolute best case scenario, we might go 6-10. I'm not optimistic, I'm a realist :D
I'm starting to look like a genius. One of the only people here that didn't buy the hype and change my prediction.

Definitely better than this prediction of us going 6-11 lol. Wtf? Even this bunch isn't that bad.

we will probably end up somewhere around 6-11. I hope I am wrong.

5-11. But it will be a "good" 5-11. The foundation is being laid and it will be a builder's masterpiece in the years to come.

Uh - Extreme...

As you can see, a lot of us picked a losing record. I've never wavered. Always hopeful, but realistic.

Just saying. :)
