I'm with you, Chris. Especially as the stakes get higher and higher, I can't eat while watching the game. Before or after is when calories are consumed, but during has been difficult of late.

I'm not really complaining.

1) Doing the same things over and over while expecting different results.

2) Being in the kitchen while the game is being played.

Edit: BTW, don't know if anybody remembers, but Darrell Green got an interception during the last NFC championship game.

Gonna have to go with a pot of chili with deer meat my neighbor gave me. I think I'm going to roast cumin seeds per Boone but I don't think I have seeds just ground cumin.

Yeah cumin seeds are hard to find.

Yep, I can't find them here for some reason. I even went to Lotte Plaza (Mex and Asian market) looking and couldn't find it. Amazon has it though!

Edit: Scratch that. I DID find the cumin seed at Lotte. It was the coriander seed I couldn't find.

With the exception of home games, (where I graze at the tailgate), I'm too nervous to eat much. Today's menu is simple. Mrs. Skinfans deviled eggs, chicken tenders & maybe nachos.

I have to do about a bushel of chicken wings tomorrow for a work event, so today going simple. Made a simple sauce with tomato sauce, minced garlic, basil, oregano, some ground beef, salt, pepper, and some parmesan cheese. Will add some store-bought ravioli to it at halftime, italian bread to go with.

Had birria tacos last night - excellent. Just made a Mexican white cheese dip. Half pound kraft deli white American cheese, 1/4 cup milk, 1 T butter, 4 oz green chilis, 1/4 t cumin, 1/4 t garlic salt, 1/4 t cayenne pepper. Melt cheese, milk, butter slowly on stove top, stir often. Then add green chilis. Stir. Add cumin, garlic salt, cayenne. Stir. For extra fun, add some jalapeno bits. Enjoy with Tostitos.

2 mins to kickoff but I bet they don't kickoff for another ten mins while they drown you in commercials.

Edit: I was wrong! They kicked off at precisely 3 PM! I walked into the LR just in time to watch the kickoff ball sailing through the air. They kicked off 8-10 mins late the previous two playoff games. This was exactly on time. I kind of like that. Keeps us guessing!
