Anyone cooking up something special on Divisional playoff Saturday? I will definitely be doing something but haven’t got a plan currently. Supposed to be a rainy cold one here in NC so I may stay indoors and do some Pho or Cincinnati chili - something like that…

Anyone got grand food plans?

I made the "fake stroganoff" last week for the game. 🤣
Selling my home has thrown a wrench into cooking lately, but I'm sure I'll be able to make something...

Last week I made Filet Minion, twice Baked potatoes, Broccoli and wings from wing stop. Tomorrow we'll not I'm gonna be on this site for ideas. My wife did make chili last night so maybe some chili dogs, chili fries, baby back ribs and homemade Mac n cheese.

Chili dogs are not a bad idea - apparently coney dogs are a thing in Detroit.

I like the Detroit style pizza idea too, but I have not mastered homemade pizza.

I don't have a solid plan yet.

I'm recovering from some dental work,(on both sides of my mouth), so I have to stick to soft food.
Probably ravioli tossed in a little olive oil & grated parmesan.
I might thaw some chili for lunch..

Lion chops anyone???

I spent last night making Pho broth - oxtail bones, charred onions and ginger, fish sauce, star anise, coriander, cloves, and some beef strips... and woke up at 4 with GI issues. My sister has had a horrible GI bug for 3+ days and I am hoping this is not that. Not sure if Pho is in the future today, may have to do it another day

Mom grew up in Ann Arbor, and my youngest graduated from U Michigan, and lives and works there still. You can find a “Coney” restaurant every mile, though many serve far more than just hotdogs.

Love me Big Blue. Monday is such a hard day. I'll watch the college football Championship game. But it will be a game I root for each team to lose. Maybe just maybe I can hope Notre Dame to get a safely as time expires cause I hate them a smidgen less.

Sainristil was pretty funny on the Rich Eisen show. He despises both teams and wouldn’t even say Notre Dame. He kinda wants OSU to win, if forced to pick 1, because their last loss would have been at home vs Meeeechigan.

Just finished dinner and it was incredible. Pho was amazing as I knew it would be. I did Spring Rolls with marinated ground pork and shrimp, bean sprouts, green onion, and arugula - and they came out just fantastic. I'll never deep fry them again. So easy in the air fryer.

My wife is the most conservative eater ever but she digs Pho and she absolutely tore it up. We will likely be having it again tomorrow, lol....

For anyone looking for a food discount, Domino's has 50% off pizza ordered through their website.
Warning: Check your order before leaving. I ordered a pizza with multiple toppings, including bacon. Suffice to say, they forgot the bacon, which was noticed before leaving. They re-made the pizza. I left with the kids and got home to find out they made the re-make without bacon as well. Worse part was that they topped #2 with less toppings than #1.

Not a ringing endorsement, but maybe I just had bad luck.

I made Gortons fish fillets and chili cheese fries last night. Easy peasy.

Game Day means something that is ready to eat at halftime with little effort. A pot of chili or spaghetti, sometimes I'll go get lasagna or ribs before the game, things that reheat well. I will not be in the kitchen or by the grill when the game is being played.

Definitions of insanity:

1) Doing the same things over and over while expecting different results.

2) Being in the kitchen while the game is being played.

Edit: BTW, don't know if anybody remembers, but Darrell Green got an interception during the last NFC championship game.
