Pierre Garçon: Welcome To DC!

I've learned over the years it's easier to communicate when you speak the other's language. :)

Can someone shed some light as to what exactly is wrong with his foot?

is he ever gonna get on the field? shanny basically called him out a few weeks ago

it's an injury that the only cure is rest, and lots of it.

so you have to balance resting and not playing with playing and not getting better.

he's not going to be back to normal until the 2013 season. what happens between now and then is anyone's guess, and mine is an up and down season where when he starts he doesn't play well and when he doesn't we all demand to know where he is and why.

i'm not a doctor though so take that for what it's worth (which is 0 :) )

i think that, since he can't catch when his foot hurts even when it hits him in the hands, they should rest him and let other people get experience.

..... since he can't catch ....... when it hits him in the hands....

Dez Briscoe?
The game could have been big time if he'd made that one.
Sure hope redemption is on the way if Garcon can't go next week.

I can forgive briscoe :)

I have a hard time forgiving a guy that demands top dollar in free agency and is the #1 WR on the team for those type of things.

Shanny sez that's what they've been doing the last couple. When it wears off later in the game or post game the pain is worse. It's not healing, it limits him in practice and messes with his game.

Shanny says it is his call, Garcon want's to go.

He's as strong, big and nasty as any receiver we've had in a longgggg time.

And what incredible hands on his touchdown catch today. I can't wait to see him healthy again.

Both long TD catches from Griffin have been great snags across the middle. His hands have really been missing from the offense. Good catches become contagious. Hoping the rest of the team continues to follow his lead.

You hit the nail on the head. There is no fear in that man. And stealing a line from the Riggins piece, "no one hits him....he hits them."

When was the last time we actually had a receiver that truly looks for contact after catching the ball?

He's a beast. He's a WR with the attitude of a LB. And he can burn. That's a rare combination.

kinda scary to think about what this offense could be with him at 100% for a prolonged period of time. Another thing i liked about him was how cool he kept his head when the Cowboy defender threw him to the ground. He could have retaliated and cost 15 but Moss was there to back him up, so he kept his cool and let it go.

When the news first hit that we were getting Pierre I was tickled because I remember seeing him make acrobatic, snatch-the-ball-out-of-mid-air catches at Indy and often running them in for TDs and really looked forward to him doing that for the Redskins.

Yeah, welcome back Pierre.

When he made that catch, I thought "no way he goes all the way with that bum toe or bum foot". And when he did, he proved that he is pretty damn close to 100%.....either that, or his "80% or so" is still faster than about 90% of the league.

I wonder how his toe is feeling today.

I'm hoping we didn't sacrifice long-term health for short-term gain with Pierre.

(don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see him make plays and he looked great yesterday)

He most certainly is NOT 100%, probably not even 80%. That injury will persist as long as proper treatment--either proper rest or surgery--is delayed.

if thats 80% ill take that...even if out there only for a decoy !

8 receptions for 106 and a TD.

We have a number 1 WR.

I love this guy!
