Give me a break...

My favorite raced for his father, Bill Champion, Donlavey, D.K. Ulrich, Nelson Malloch, DiGard, Childress, Bud Moore (HOF member), Bernstein (MHoFA member), Hendrick, Himself, Robert Yates, and the Wood Brothers. He brought Childress his first victories in the 3 car.

His only regret was not racing for Penske - and that came within a day or two of happening in 2006.

Changing teams happens in this sport. Ditto for football, basketball, baseball, and so on.

Because when you turn fifty, and it will happen quicker than you think, it is not desperation time nor is it as old as you imagine.

Also, being loyal to one's values doesn't mean blind loyalty to a fault. You do what is best for you - correct?

I do have to say about Mark, he should have never had the last call thing with Rusty. Don't announce that you are done, and then come back the next year...... Brett.... lol

Aaron's stepped in a couple of hours ago and blew that deal to bits. FedEx is beyond pissed, but back to square one.

Mark drives the 11 at Marty, then Vickers takes over until Denny returns. Interesting day.

Latest (very strong) rumor going through the garage at Texas...

Chip Ganassi could sell his team to John Menard. If it happens, his son (Paul) comes over to that team - no doubt about it.

In other words, you could be watching the step by step process of RCR becoming a field filler team.

Logano and Kez are going to be hit with big penalties this week. Failed pre-race.

2 and 22 get 25 pt. penalty. CCs suspended six weeks and fined $100,000 - probation until Dec. 31. 2 drops from second to 4th in standings. 22 drops from 9th to 14th.

56 car gets 6 pt. penalty.

Hornaday (trucks) gets a 25 pt. penalty.

You called that one right Ken!

I think it was easy to call with all of the coverage it received that night on TV and in recent days.

Penske is going to appeal though. Eh, good luck with that.

Gibbs appeal synopsis:
They won. Big.
NASCAR is pissed.

:clap2:

From the absurdly weird...

Breaking News: NASCAR Nationwide Series Mike Harmon arrested and released on bond, on charges of stealing the Hauler of JJC Racing, owned by Jennifer Jo Cobb.

When his granddaughter died in a car accident about ten or so years ago, it seemed like he never really got over it. Not saying that this is why it happened, but Trickle was really depressed about it for a long time. It could be something else though - really sad either way.

RIP DT. We hope you are at peace.

Not NASCAR, as such, but the Aussie V8's are racing in Austin, Texas this weekend, and the Chev's used in NASCAR will be making an appearance in their 'real' guise as a Holden Commodore.

There is also the Ford Falcon, which is nothing like the Ford used in NASCAR, as well as the Nissan Altima and a Mercedes Benz. All the chassis/running gear are the same; it's just the body panels that differ.

It will be live on Speed on Sunday - 1pm your time Mike.

Been looking forward to this race for quite some time. This track is new and I'm hoping that it can be the third road course track for Nascar.

A few of the NASCAR drivers went out for a run in one of the V8's a few weeks ago during a promotional gig. Naturally, Marcus outpaced them all (due to the right hand turns!), and I know that Junior, Smoke and Kasey want to run an official meeting down here.

We have a meeting here for International drivers, on the re-configured (shortened) Gold Coast road track that was formerly used for the Indy Car event. However, I would love for them to team up and form a team for the Bathurst 1000.

We get qualifying as well, so it will be a 4:30AM (Sunday & Monday) start for me. If I can be up for a Redskins game, surely I can be up for a V8 Supercar race!

Just wait until you hear the drivers refer to someone as a 'septic'.

In aussie slang terms, it is short for 'septic tank', which in turn is rhyming slang for Yank, which is what we call Americans.

So, the USA wouldn't be a bad place to visit if it wasn't for all the septics!
