Matt Kenseth is not returning to RFR. Pretty sure he will be in a JGR 4th car or the 20 and Joey to the 4th car.

Nope. When someone like Kenseth falls into your grasp, you don't let go. Newman quickly became plan B and Kenseth moved to plan A.

He will be in the 20 car for HD and Joey will be in the "new" car with the team he has around him now. Dollar General will take on a few more races. Gamestop will move up. Hearing that Snickers could sponsor a couple of races. One unnamed sponsor could come into play for each of the teams (Monster Energy?) for a race or two - a staggered schedule obviously.

Also, Matt will probably bring some of the sponsors that are with him now. Best Buy could be on the car for three or four races. Zest too. Outside chance of bringing CitiFinancial with him too.

El, what do you think of the pic? Cool, huh?

Hearing that Austin Dillon is on standby to drive the 29 tonight. DeLana could go into labor at any moment now.

AJ Allmendinger is in huge trouble. Failed a drug test. Guessing that Hornish replaces him tonight.

Awesome finish for Joey!

Kevin and DeLana had a son earlier today.

Just saw Penske fired Allmendinger.

Jamie Little gave birth to a healthy son.

Road course fun tomorrow. Love the racing on those tracks.

Dodge is leaving NASCAR.

I've seen this coming for a little while... it doesnt really surpise me. Dodge has been struggling and let's be honest... Roger Penske's N-wide team was funding the WHOLE SRT outfit on the Nascar front. They've been behind when it comes to equipment... and without (and this makes me have a sour taste to say this) an EXTREMELY talented driver (Keselowski) they wouldnt have ANYTHING to show for it. I think Kez is a smarmy little worm, but the guy knows how to drive a car.

Here is Jamie Little's newborn...

ST, I wish there was a way for Dodge to stay in NASCAR. I've always had a special place for them in my heart and really missed seeing them over the years. When they returned last decade, that was sweet. Hoping that this decision is just a temporary one. Dodge has some good products as does Ford and Toyota.

Speaking of Kez - he is really growing on me and I am liking him more and more.

I agree Dodge can bring quite a bit to the sport... and if nothing else... keeps Detroit FULLY involved. They have some good stuff... but they just cant seem to stay up to speed on the Sprint series. The Challenger in the N-wide serious is an awesome looking car, and it would be AWESOME to have Mustang/Camaro/Challenger going at it on a national level.

I wonder if quite a bit of this has to do with Penske being tired of being the 'only' big dog in a manufacturer. He's got teams all across the racing spectrum, and in Nascar he cant 'share' information or equipment like he would be able to do with Ford/Chevy/Toyota. Now he can gather information from Yates and build on it, instead of being out on an island and trying to keep up.

It all comes down to Richmond.

Win, and he is in...
Ryan Newman. Marcos Ambrose. Kyle Busch. Jeff Gordon. Joey Logano. If any of these drivers win on Saturday night, they are in the chase. Carl Edwards needs a win and for Jeff Gordon and Kyle Busch to have a subpar race. If that happens, Carl is in. If nothing changes, then Kasey Kahne and Kyle Busch are in.

Tomorrow, we will learn that Matt Kenseth will drive the #20 Home Depot/Dollar General Toyota starting in 2013. Joey Logano will drive the #22 Pennzoil/Shell Ford starting in 2013. That announcement will come tomorrow or the next day.

It is not set in stone yet, but Elliot Sadler will probably move over to JGR to drive full time in the Nationwide Series and a number of Cup races in a Gibbs Toyota.

But Richmond will be rocking on Saturday night! Looking forward to it.
