Appears to be a 'black out' game

Wait they're using the JV Steelers uni's again? Please tell me no they aren't.

With Kirk coming back to DC this weekend, I couldn't help but think about where this current version of the team might be with Cousins behind center. Would we be a legitimate contender?

I'm not sure what to think...

I’ve thought about this as well. Even with his flaws, Cousins has been a better QB than any here since he left. But at what cost to the rest of the team? This team wasn’t in a spot where they are a QB away. Still not, but I digress. So what other pieces are not here with Cousins and what other decisions are or aren’t made. Would Bruce Allen still be here because they keep winning just enough? What players are or are not picked? Would Jon Allen and Terry be re-signed? It’s fun to live in the what if world (well, we’ve learned in recent threads that sometimes it’s not), but if Cousins had been re-signed, we are probably looking at a completely different team. Maybe that’s good, but based on who has been making the decisions, I’m thinking it’s probably not.

Cousins' cap hit this year with the Viks is $31.4 million.

150 plus million for 1 playoff victory, if he'd have stayed here maybe we'd have the same results, one playoff victory...not worth the money, he wasn't on the upswing of his career, he was what he was always going to be, a stat whore against bad teams but can't win when it counts.

This might potentially impact our team this Sunday if the Vikings decide to put him in the lineup.

I'm probably not watching much of this game.

I'll disagree with that. Cousins was not better than Alex Smith, even the Alex Smith who was past his prime. And he's not better than Heinicke, either.

Cousins would not have led Washington to a win on that final drive against the Colts. Nothing against him, but Heinicke is a better athlete and has better instincts in the pocket than Cousins.

You realize we are doomed on Sunday now, right? ;)

I have nothing against Cousins. He's an adequate QB that can be successful with good weapons around him and good protection. But he just doesn't have Heinicke's playmaking ability.

And Cousins usually becomes reticent when the lights are brightest and the pressure is the greatest. That is probably his biggest weakness. I saw that here in Washington several times. Heinicke definitely doesn't have that problem.

If Snyder can just stop meddling, I think Heinicke will win a Super Bowl with this team before Cousins wins a Super Bowl with the Vikings.

You need to send Heinicke an email and see if he needs a promotor. I can't think of anyone else blinded by their love for him as much as you are.

I'm going to say it again -- Heinicke is the best QB this team has had since Joe Theismann.

You all can call me crazy, but Heinicke's QB instincts are just stellar. His natural gifts cannot be taught. Like Chase Young said, "the dude can fucking play."

I actually think about QBs the same way that I think about tennis players. Heinicke is an Andre Agassi. Not the biggest guy, but awesome anticipation and instincts with quick feet.

Carson Wentz and Kirk Cousins, on the other hand, are John Isner. Big strong dudes, but limited, lumbering athletes with limited instincts.

He looked like Billie Jean Effing King for most of the Week 7 game.

I did hear that Billie Jean was not his lover. Not sure how that fits in here, but I did hear it.

I also heard that Martin Luther King Jr paid for the bill for Julia Roberts birth because they were family friends and couldn't afford it.

Once again...not sure how that fits in here. But, I did hear it.

And yet Heinicke finished the game with one of the greatest, most memorable comebacks in franchise history. On the road, in a hostile environment against a very good defense.

The guy is special.

Oh - it was HEINICKE that did that? :)

So, how do we trick Kirk Cousins into thinking his game against Washington is being played on Monday night?
